I start the thread with this definition because this is how people are able to continue practicing racism in this country today. DEI is part of modern racism and is used as a racial slur. People can't use the n-word but they can use terms like DEI. Notice that people like Pam Biondi are never called DEI but as a woman, she would be a DEI hire. Instead, we see the use of that term only for blacks. It is apparent what they mean.

Well it circles back to that whole diversity gambit. Which really only serves to encourage others to view Individuals solely a members of groups rather than as Individuals.

It's a revolving circle if/when permitted to be. And that's in their favor if you do let them keep that revolving circle going. It lets them control the argument and most folks are content to argue on their terms rather than more fundamental ones.

And that's where all of the group claims about government addressing muh feelings are pawned off as some legitimate role of government when it is in fact antithetical to it.

I don't know that I can actually add to that. That was pretty well stated and hits on the nuts and bolts of it.

Though I don't like the term protected classes. Mainly because they're the first ones tossed under the bus once ther usefulness has passed. Which actually speaks to the root of which their gripes are derived, but still keep begging for more. Its counterintuitive.

But I know what you meant.

Now if you look at them more as designated victim status groups, temporary as far as trends go in many cases, and approach it in that tenor, it's much easier to unveil how they're being used as mere pawns and are, not only in effect, but quite literally, the very opposite of ''protected.''
