Manka Dhingra (D) won her special election to a state Senate seat, which switches control of the chamber.

WASHINGTON ― Democrat Manka Dhingra won Tuesday’s special election to a Washington state Senate seat ― a race that most people wouldn’t be paying attention to except that Dhingra just cemented her party’s full control of the state government.

Dhingra defeated Republican Jinyoung Lee Englund in a race that people poured millions of dollars into because of the significance of the seat. Democrats control the governorship and the state House in Washington, but until Tuesday, they’ve been one seat short of a majority in the Senate.

That one-seat differential has mattered. Republicans in the Senate have prevented Gov. Jay Inslee from enacting some of his top legislative priorities relating to climate change, voting rights and birth control. They also forced Democrats to compromise on a smaller state budget.

Inslee told The New York Times earlier this week that if Democrats win control of the Senate, he has ambitious plans for new policies like a carbon tax.

Bravo! :clap2::clap:

Washington has been a solid deep blue state for a long time. It isn’t that shocking that they control government in the state. More taxes, more red tape, it’s what blue states do.

Tough choice, the Chink was cute as hell, but the Indian (Pre-American) had a decent nose job and big knockers.

Here's A List Of Historic Victories Democrats Had On Election Day
Democrats had a good night, but I think calling most of the candidates who won "heroic" is bit much. I can get with calling Danica Roem courageous because she openly declared her status as a transsexual and ran for office against the man who may have been the nation's most stridently anti-everything-transgender state legislative incumbent and even in liberal communities, and the district she won isn't, people aren't what I'd call at ease with transsexuality or much having to do with it.

Danica Roem

Tuesday was a big night for Democrats.

Virginia elected its first openly transgender state lawmaker on Tuesday, voting Democrat Danica Roem into the state’s House of Delegates. She unseated Virginia Del. Bob Marshall, the Republican who introduced the “bathroom bill” that would have prohibited transgender students from using the bathroom of their choice.

“No matter what you look like, where you come from, how you worship, who you love, how you identify or any other inherent identifier that you have, you should be celebrated because of who you are, not despite it,” Roem said on MSNBC’s “The Last Word.”

It is just the liberal state of Washington. That is why ISIS is going to burn that state, because they are too ignorant. ISIS blows sweet nothings into their ears and that they shakes and quivers, and says afterwards,"What do you all want us to do?" ISIS knows that they are easy pickings, because they are lonely stupid ole' fools, that cannot find someone in their own state with sense.

Alex, a 23-year-old Sunday-school teacher and baby-sitter in Washington state, was trembling with excitement the day she told Twitter followers that she had converted to Islam.

For months, she had been growing closer to a new group of friends online who were teaching her what it meant to be a Muslim. Increasingly, they were telling her about the Islamic State and how the group was building a homeland in Syria and Iraq where the holy could live according to God’s law. How ISIS methodically groomed a lonely young Wash. state woman

What election did she win?

It's dangerous to have a complete one-party rule.

No surprise though, the entire northwest is a liberal cesspool. My advice to anyone considering moving here, DON'T DO IT, unless you crave a total nanny-state.

What election did she win?
The same State that Gen. Robert E. Lee was from.

That is the mentality of all Liberals. Always looking for someone to nurse them.

Hacked audio of a conversation between Hillary Clinton and donors during a February fundraising event shows the Democrat nominee describing Bernie Sanders supporters as "children of the Great Recession" who are "living in their parents’ basement."

Speaking at a Virginia fundraiser hosted by former U.S. ambassador Beatrice Welters, Clinton says in a clip released by the Free Beacon that many of her former primary opponent's supporters sought things like “free college, free health care,” saying that she preferred to occupy the space "from the center-left to the center-right" on the political spectrum. Clinton gives her take on Sanders supporters in leaked fundraising recording
