Black kids will do better in a white majority school than in a black majority school, same with neighborhood.

Case and point. The city of Charlotte, NC was a test case for busing. It was court ordered in the mid 70's. About 10 years ago, parents petitioned the courts to end busing. After much discussion and a few lawsuits on both sides of the issue, the highest court in NC decided to take the case. The court ruled that among other things the Charlotte school system had done all it could to end segregation. The court also found that over the period of time when busing had existed, the over all student population had gone from about 70% Caucasian to about 35%. Charlotte while still maintaining a slightly more than 50% white population, those of school age attending the public schools have essentially flip flopped. The public school student mix is about 30% Caucasian. This is due to three factors. Migration of whites to surrounding communities, a flat birthrate among blacks and an influx of Latinos, mostly from Mexico.
In fact three contiguous counties to Mecklenburg ( Charlotte) are two of the fastest growing in both North and South Carolina. Two of those are York and Lancaster Counties in SC. Three main factors...MUCH lower taxes, Better schools. Far less expensive real estate and home prices.
Here's another interesting factoid.....Over the last 5 years, there has been a growth in the number of middle class black families that have also been moving to these places.

York County is 76.1% white, Lancaster is 74.4% white, Mecklinburg is 59.7% white. There's the reason that the schools are better and taxes are lower. That black middle class is going to bring lowered school standards to those country schools.

It's a never-ending game of hot potato. The black middle class is fleeing black concentration and wants to benefit from what whites are achieving when they concentrate. All is fine while black concentration is small, but when that black middle class grows too large, then they create a problem and whites flee, which in turn brings more blacks into the neighborhood, thus lowering standards, and this repeats and then the best of the blacks begins to flee in search of a place with high white concentration where life is better. And the cycle starts again.

Whites are good for blacks, but what happens when there aren't enough whites around to moderate black social dysfunction?

I am an American, first and foremost. First known white ancestors here in the 1640's. A bit of black, and possible native american, in my ancestory, also. And people in the various branchs of my ancestory have participated in all of America's wars. And most moved west with the frontier.
