Desantis' felon voting fraud case disintegrating: Some were told BY GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS they could vote

The criminals are Republicans. They want to attack the FBI. They want to make it safe for tax cheats to cheat.
Why is the corrupt Democrat Party defunding the police then?
Why does the corrupt Democrat Party illegally use the IRS as a political weapon?
Why does the corrupt Democrat Party illegally use the FBI as a political weapon?

Charges Dropped Against Another Man Swept Up In DeSantis’s Voter Fraud Stunt

Prosecutors have dropped charges against a Florida man who was arrested in August for allegedly voting illegally, according to local reports.

Tampa resident Tony Patterson was one of 20 people accused of voting illegally in the 2020 election by Republican Governor Ron DeSantis. The individuals were arrested back in August by the Florida Office of Election Crimes and Security, a division formed within Florida’s Department of State to investigate supposed election malfeasance, and one that has been widely criticized as a political stunt on DeSantis’ part as the governor courts MAGA voters and flirts with 2024 ambitions.

DeSantis launched the office ahead of the midterms this summer and several years after Florida voters re-established voting rights for formerly incarcerated residents, excluding those who’ve committed sex crimes or murder, by amending the state constitution in 2018. Republican lawmakers quickly moved to clamp down on the measure, passing a bill requiring felons to repay court debts before they can vote again, a move that advocates likened to a poll tax, in 2019. A federal judge deemed it constitutional in 2020.

There was the Disney stunt, the trans stunt, the Martha's Vineyard stunt, the CRT stunt, and the voter fraud stunt. No wonder Repubs are so excited about RonDon's prospects as a candidate for prez. ;)

Desantis is another showman. This time his theatrics backfired.

Ignorance of the law.........

That is not correct.
Ignorance of a particular law is no excuse, only for acts which everyone should automatically recognize as harmful to the rights of others.
But everyone is correct to assume all individuals have the right to vote.
It is legislators who are denying ex-felons their inherent right to vote, who are the criminals.
The main cause of the rebellion from England was "taxation without representation", and that is exactly the crime committed by legislators who do not allow ex-felons to vote.
Everyone has a right to representation, and there can be no arbitrary exceptions.
Legislators do not have that authority, and no one can give it to them.

Vastator: Duh, dar, I don't understand due process, kaz. Seriously, I don't. You believe me, right? I don't know what the due process means or what it does or what it has to do with our legal system.

It's amazing how many Democrat's defense is you don't understand the discussion. Wow, you're stupid. Or at least you say you are.

Here's one for giggles, if you don't understand the implications of the due process clause, so government also can't put criminals in prison because it violates the Constitution.

You can't have it both ways, either the due process applies or it doesn't, but you can't pick and choose when it applies.

You don't even understand the question, do you? Be honest ...

Representatives can defend our rights by putting violators in prison.
But there is no defense of the rights of others that allows anyone to prevent an ex-felon from having the representation his rights demand.
It clearly allows all rights to attacked if you allow government to disenfranchise anyone from their legal representation process.
And it is happening, with over 40 million people denied their inherent right to vote, due to drug convictions.
That is totally and completely illegal.
No government ever has the authority to deny the right of representation to anyone.

So what you're saying is Donnie J should have been charged with conspiracy to defraud the American people by Mueller.

Wrong.
What I said is that it is illegal to charge anyone with a crime for something that does not clearly violate the rights of others.
Campaign finance laws are no clear, simple, accurate, entirely valid, or maybe even legal.
For example, Citizen's United allows foreign companies to contribute to US campaigns.
So the all US campaign finance laws no longer make any sense at all, and therefore likely are illegal.

Why is the corrupt Democrat Party defunding the police then?
Why does the corrupt Democrat Party illegally use the IRS as a political weapon?
Why does the corrupt Democrat Party illegally use the FBI as a political weapon?

Defunding the police should be bi-partisan.
We essentially did not have police before about 1900, and it was vastly better.
Police not only cost way too much, but diminish rights instead of protecting them.
Such as laws that are not defending rights, like the War on Drugs, asset forfeiture, mandatory sentences, etc.
Instead of defending anyone, police are out to cause harm, steal revenue, and intimidate or murder people.

The IRS is not being used as a political weapon, because no political group is supposed to be exempt under 501c.
That is supposed to only be for "community education" groups.

But I may agree the FBI is way too political?

Ignorance of a bureaucratic law that is not based on obvious defense of individual rights, IS a valid excuse.
Not accepting election assistance from a foreign country, a sworn adversary, is bureaucratic law? Manafort, who attended the Tower meeting and had worked on numerous campaigns, didn't know what the Russians were offering was illegal?

And who would have told them they could vote?
I'll give a hint,the word starts with a D.

And there's no evidence the rest thought they were ineligible:
Desantis will be embarrassed if these people charged with fraud are acquitted:

...

Ignorance of the law is NO excuse

PERIOD

not to mention the fact that everyone knows felons cannot vote.

Please

The law in question literally said that ignorance of the law is an excuse in this case. The law includes the word “knowingly”. Do you know with knowingly means?
