California sits right next to a billion gallons of sea water and has huge aquifers to drain off water from the mountains yet has no means of pumping it where needed by fire hydrant?

Then these idiots build burnable homes on top of steep hillsides prone to fire acceleration with all kinds of dry brush around their homes and with no code to incorporate systems in the homes to soak them and the areas down to help suppress their burning.

I've worked on models of wastewater treatment, which deal with far simpler biological systems, and even those have their limits, like all models.

The people running California LOVE these fires. They'll never do a thing to prevent them. Every time one of these "disasters" strikes, it's a massive cash grab by the public employees unions (firefighters, cops, emergency services, etc.) and all the associated parasites (news organizations, vendors, etc.).

Firefighters from all over the state, for example, (and their leadership) get paid $10,000-$15,000 per week per person during these incidents, plus "bonus" pay for traveling, expenses, etc.

The massive quasi-governmental utilities like PG&E will not lift a finger to lessen the likelihood of fires and mass disasters caused by their old, poorly maintained equipment. They have no incentive to do so, and in fact they usually institute rate hikes after every big disaster.

It's a con, all of it.
