Driverless Cars Could Become WMDs

So could cars with drivers.....Oh yeah. Thats already a thing.
Need to ban cars.
Nope. People use them to drive places. They werent built with the intention of killing humans.
Yet 50,000 Americans will be killed by cars this year.
More will die as a result of a heart attack. 610K to be exact. Ban fast food?
44,000 will die from booze

Ban beer.

No problem. I make my own.

There doesn't seem to be a shortage of willing martyrs who will drive a car or truck in a suicide attack. If someone were going to devote the resources to hacking a system, there are much worse ways to harm us than with driverless autos.

If you want to live in fear, there are always things you can be afraid of.

Besides, considering that we kill 40,000 Americans every year with cars that have drivers, it would be hard to beat that with a terrorist attack.

Yeah, thats very true but perhaps in the future a single person sitting halfway around the world might be able to operate drones and automated cars that they simply hacked into and they might be harder to trace. At least if someone from a terrorist cell say somewhere in London does an attack it might be possible to track them down especially if they catch one alive.

Why would it be harder to trace? In order to hack in from halfway around the world they would need to establish communications via mobile technology, satellite, or internet. All record path source and destination.

Perhaps pigs will be able to fly at some point too. The likelihood is about the same.

Really? I thought a good hacker was able to go untraced by bouncing off other peoples computers. Hell, they might even use Hillary's for all we know ;)

Thats just in the movies. Nothing is untraceable on the internet. They can bounce it off of as many computers they want to there will still be a record. Also bouncing it introduces lag time.and there is a TTL (time to live) that is decremented with each device that routes the data packet.. The TTL limits how many devices can route it.

Don't bother. They can't even recognize the most blatant Trump lies. There is no way to expect them to understand he complexities of proxy sites.
