In reversal, U.S. EPA maintains restriction on Alaska mine project

It's not permanent, as Pruitt said they might eventually allow it.

My guess is the people who put the project together refused to pay the EPA the obligatory bribes, or they made a lowball offer.

A lot less of them. But the studies were done before the scientists were fired. The risks have not changed.
