Lol, seems perfectly logical if you are basing them on normal human thinking patterns, but they are not doing that, as the algorithms are randomly developed.

Study: Robots Capable Of Developing Prejudice On Their Own - Study Finds

Embracing stereotypes or even forming a simple opinion about others may seem like a trait exclusive to humans, but a recent study shows that robots can develop prejudice and even discriminate in similar ways to people, too.

You might think that’s because they’re programmed that way, but the research by computer science and psychology experts at Cardiff University shows that robots and machines using artificial intelligence are capable of generating prejudice on their own.

Joined by researchers from MIT, the Cardiff team explained this discriminatory behavior by suggesting robots could identify, copy, and learn this behavior from one another. Previous research has shown that computer algorithms have exhibited prejudiced behaviors and attitudes, such as racism and sexism, but researchers believe the algorithms learned it from public records and other data created by humans. The Cardiff and MIT researchers wanted to see if AI could evolve prejudicial groups on its own.

MAYBE because machines can come to conclusions that some STUPID people just LABEL as racist and sexist, etc... There's no "politically correct" filter REQUIRED in an AI product.. Perhaps, that's gonna be a standard feature to keep from offending folks with OBJECTIVE observations that "trigger" them...

We all know how much STRETCHING of the envelope is occurring on "what's offensive".... That practice has all but KILLED COMEDY.. And now it's working on destroying other natural human instincts to be OBJECTIVE and honest...

Robots are racist? Hmmm... interesting... they must have been programmed by democrats.

But apparently, they can reach objective conclusions that OFFEND some people.. Ya think it might that same group that you thought programmed them???? :113: LOL...

Kinda of funny inserting robots to PREVENT bias and finding out the problem isn't bias at all... It's that it's just not correct to OBJECTIVELY observe some things.... :2up: Here's an example that can horribly wrong that way.. Building a "job interviewer" robot.... No crap.. For REAL.... "to be objective without bias"...

Imagine a world where unbiased robots conduct job interviews | Daily Mail Online

And here's the must watch DOWNSIDE of robot interviewers.... LOL...

And they are no fun to flirt with either..
