I looked all around their website - I don't see a thing about firearms safety training, range safety, instructor certification programs, hunter education, etc

The NRA has all kinds safety-related education and training:

How can Everytown be a gun safety organization when it has no safety programs at all?

Names don't mean anything these days. The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine sounds like a branch of the AMA, but is actually more like PETA than any other doctors group.
