Jacqueline Crank was convicted of child neglect in 2012 after failing to get treatment for her fifteen year old daughter that died in 2002 of Ewing's sarcoma. Crank was sentenced to unsupervised probation for a period of 11 months. Ms. Crank had operated with the advice from a man named Ariel Sherman. He was also convicted. They both appealed their cases; however, Ariel had cancer and sought modern medical treatment but died before his case was heard. Crank argued that the Tennessee religious exemption was unconstitutional because some faith healing was ok and others were not.

This past December Travis and Wenona Rossiter were convicted of first and second degree manslaughter in the 2013 death of their 12 year old diabetic daughter. Wenona’s brother had died in 1994 from Leukemia when her parents refused to seek medical treatment. Her father was convicted of criminally negligent homicide. Travis and Wenona were sentenced to a mandatory minimum of ten years each in prison. A lot of people are unhappy about that ten years. Religious defenses have been removed in Oregon. Rossiter KEZI
Consider the following:
“Just across the state line in Idaho, however, there are no such deterrents. During the same period of time, at least 12 children have died at the hands of faith-healing parents in the state, yet not a single charge has been filed. In Idaho, authorities do not investigate or prosecute faith-healing deaths, which occur largely without scrutiny from the public or media. Of the dozen documented cases in the last three years—and there are likely many more that have gone unreported—all were members of the Followers of Christ, a faith-healing group with a doctrine nearly identical to the Church of the First Born. The Followers are also active in Oregon, where they gained notoriety in the 1990s after a series of high-profile child deaths.” Why Does God Kill So Many Children in Idaho
This year may be the one where religious exemptions are finally removed from Idaho allowing parents to face criminal charges.

By and large if there are any repercussions at all they are limited to neglect of children. Fortunately (or unfortunately) adults can do as they wish. The problem is that their lack of critical thinking and irresponsible behavior creates problems for the public.
The 2013 measles outbreak in north Texas was tied to Eagle Mountain International Church. Kenneth Copeland advocated against vaccinations. Ohio experienced the largest outbreak this past year due to the Amish missionaries. In both outbreaks adults that had not been vaccinated traveled to another country and brought it back to the states.

"Franklin Park Pediatrics sent a letter last week to patients that said they have a year to comply with the new policy. “If you cannot or will not fully vaccinate your child/children by June 1, 2015, please understand that you will choose to leave our practice (seek medical care elsewhere.)”
“Due to recent outbreaks of measles, mumps, and whooping cough, and a recent influx of unvaccinated children, we have decided to keep our office a safe environment,” said Dr. John McBride, who is one of six physicians in the Franklin Park Pediatrics group, which treats more than 14,000 patients." http://www.toledoblade.com/Medical/2014/06/07/Doctor-group-declines-care-to-unvaccinated-1.html#Fq0hvhU7vViE7gu3.99

The CDC reported that between January 1 to November 29 of 2014 there were 610 reported cases of the measles. It’s the highest number since 2000. Measles Cases and Outbreaks CDC
The reason that we don't fund or support faith healing is because it has already been explored and abandoned.
What’s the harm maintains a list (that desperately needs to be updated) of woo cases as well.
