If EVERY rifle used to commit murder 2009-2013 was an 'assault weapon'...

2.51 % of all murders were committed with 'assault weapons'.
513% more people were killed with bladed weapons than 'assault weapons'.
262% more people were killed with blunt objects than 'assault weapons'
228% more people were killed with personal weapons - hand, feet, teeth - than 'assault weapons.

Conclusion:
It is impossible to argue for the necessity of banning 'assault weapons' without reverting to emotion, ignorance and/or dishonesty.

Funny ... real funny................. a thousand of them couldn't do anyone harm unless some crazy picked one up and shot somebody. I saw a video where a man loaded one and left it on his coffee table for a month, it never moved, aimed, nor discharged. Guns do not operate on their own. If people want to kill, they'll find a way to do it.
