For Putin, what is the most disappointing thing about trump 2.0?

It's likely that the whole autocracy thing hasn't caught on.

CNN Poll: Trump’s approval at 100 days lower than any president in at least seven decades

Putin wants to degrade Western democracies by any means possible. It's why he so vigorously supported trump's candidacy in 2016 and otherwise sow division. But most Americans still reflexively reject the kind of executive overreach that, if left unchecked, can lead to autocracy. Instead, opposing extralegal deportations, the firing of protected government employees, and the unilateral imposition of harmful tariffs. Our impulse is still to defend democratic principles, thank goodness. Well, most of us. When that is no longer true we'll know Putin, and trumpery, have won.

Neat story
Not for Dotard.

Donald Trump won back the Oval Office and took charge of the government amid the strongest poll numbers of his political career, but as the 100-day mark of his presidency approaches, Americans’ views of what he’s done so far have turned deeply negative, a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS finds.

Trump’s 41% approval rating is the lowest for any newly elected president at 100 days dating back at least to Dwight Eisenhower – including Trump’s own first term.

Approval of Trump’s handling of the presidency is down 4 points since March, and 7 points lower than it was in late February. Just 22% say they strongly approve of Trump’s handling of the job, a new low, and about twice as many say they strongly disapprove (45%).

Yeah, the polls have been a positive sign, as has Europe's general reaction. They see what's happening here, and they're doing everything they can to warn us, PLUS they're not just bending over for Putin (especially in Ukraine).

My fear remains that the mid term election process is going to be perverted by the (red/purple) states and courts. If that isn't allowed to happen, there may be some hope. But if it happens, then all bets are off.

So weird. Leftists claim they're more intelligent, and educated, yet not an original thought from them, and the maturity level of grade school girls.

Or not.

Trump is unpopular mostly because of tariffs and his failure to ‘fix’ an economy in no need of fixing – absent the tariffs and Trump’s moronic lies about ‘the economy,’ Trump would likely be more popular, with most Americans not caring about fired Federal employees and the illegal removal of immigrants lawfully in the country - that's certainly true for those on the fascist right.
