"Trump's surprise and unprovoked attack on Megyn Kelly during her show last night is as unacceptable as it is disturbing."

Fox News CEO and Chairman Roger Ailes shot back at Donald Trump on Tuesday, saying the reality TV star should apologize for renewing his attack on Fox News host and debate moderator Megyn Kelly.

"Trump's surprise and unprovoked attack on Megyn Kelly during her show last night is as unacceptable as it is disturbing," Ailes said in a statement. "Donald Trump rarely apologizes, although in this case, he should."

Trump initially took aim at Kelly after the Republican presidential debate, during which Kelly asked the businessman about past disparaging remarks he’d made about women. Trump’s tantrum culminated in a CNN appearance, during which the presidential candidate said Kelly had "blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever" during the debate. Trump seemed to have made peace with the network after he and Ailes spoke by phone.

But Trump reignited the feud after Kelly returned from vacation on Monday. He took to Twitter to say Kelly was "off her game" and to retweet users who called the host a "bimbo" and remarked on her looks.

Roger Ailes finally says something I can agree with. Megyn Kelly doesn't deserve Trump's wrath.

T-Rump is exposing his inner posterior!

And no, it ain't pretty.

The GOP should take heed that T-Rump holds grudges against those he imagines have "dissed" him for whatever reason.

The last republican potus with that shortcoming was Nixon and look how that turned out for them.

Never would have thought I see a bed wetter standing up in defense of a woman who has chewed more moonbats up and spit them out than anyone else on Fox.

They must really hate Trump, which makes him more appealing.

However I don't think there was any point in his hit on Megyn. He should just drop it already, because he looks like a butthurt liberal douche dragging it out.

All they are doing is playing into Trump's hand, he relishes this sort of attention and it keeps him in the spotlight, as long as he's in the spotlight his numbers continue to go up

I fail to see the problem?.....:dunno:...........Megyn Kelly is a freakin bimbo. .....

Trump has given his orders. Time to attack Meghan because Trump says so!

It works, Millions of Hispanics didnt know they really liked Trump until Trump said so.

HE didn't SAY anything. he re tweeted something someone else said that included the word bimbo...
geez..they're in full panic mode....they feel the wind changing..

Yep FOX is panicking. It will be interesting to see who backs down first.

Neither!

T-Rump needs "enemies" and he knows that if FauxNoise turns on him his mindless supporters will stick with him.

FauxNoise is under the thumb of the billionaires and will do as they command and if that means going on the attack against T-Rump them sobeit.

Unfair meet Unbalanced!

Is Roger Ailes just playing a ratings game - or is he sincerely standing up for Megyn Kelly? To be determined...
