Secret Service Head Cheatle has been subpoenaed and is expected to be a 'no show'.

When did it happen?
Wow, so clueless.

Wow, so clueless.

So you can’t actually provide me a link to one time someone from his admin simply refused to come to congress?

Yes trump admin filed lawsuits, and called for executive priv, but that’s not what we were talking about. You said xiden hasn’t claimed executive privilege in this case

I said nothing has happened yet because the subpoena was just issued this morning. There's been no response from the administration yet.

The link includes the following:
Another example involves the annual hearing held by the House Committee on Homeland Security on threats facing the nation to inform Congress and the public on the current state of national security. Prior to the Trump Administration, both Republican and Democratic administrations had cooperated by sending the heads of the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, and the National Counterterrorism Center to testify. In September 2020, however, Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf reneged on his agreement to appear at this hearing on the grounds that the President had recently nominated him to be Secretary. In this case, the Chairman of the Committee then issued a subpoena for his testimony, pointing out that Mr. Wolf had served as Acting Secretary for the prior ten months and was in no way prevented from appearing before the committee by his nomination, yet Mr. Wolf still refused to appear.

The incompetent DEI hire Cheatle continues to hide, other than a softball interview where she insulted the intelligence of the American people with her "slanted roof" excuse. She has been ordered to appear for a Congressional hearing but is expected to continue hiding under her desk. She should either resign or be fired. Neither of course will happen since she is part of the protected class of the Democrats.

The more we learn the more it appears to be an inside job.

Chad Wolf testified before congress numerous times in 2020l, on that date in question he couldn’t appear because his confirmation was pending and HhS deputy agreed to appear in his place, the dems said no

Is the director offering her deputy in her place?

Chad Wolf testified before congress numerous times in 2020
Doesn't matter how many times he testified, if he didn't show up in response to the subpoena, then he should be criminally charged, according to you.

But Trump's administration didn't do that, did they?

The committee first called Cheatle to testify on the day of the attack, and requested specific information related to the incident on Monday. While the Secret Service initially confirmed that Cheatle would sit down with the committee, House Speaker Mike Johnson claimed on Wednesday morning that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas forbade Cheatle from testifying.

Failure to comply with a US congressional subpoena can indeed result in serious consequences, as it is considered a form of contempt of Congress. Penalties for contempt of Congress can include fines, imprisonment, or other legal actions.

However, there are certain exceptions to complying with a congressional subpoena, such as asserting executive privilege or attorney-client privilege.

Executive privilege allows the President and other high-ranking officials to withhold certain information from Congress in order to protect the confidentiality of communications within the executive branch.

Attorney-client privilege protects communications between an individual and their attorney from being disclosed without their consent.

But the decision to assert these privileges must be carefully considered and may still result in legal challenges or consequences.

==> It seems that bald-headed Secretary wanted to play political games with Republicans. Gee..I want some popcorn now! lol. :)

Actually they offered the HHS deputy to testify that day, the dems refused

Is the Secret Service deputy offering to come?

Get ready for a whole lot of nothing. Congressional subpoenas don't mean anything to the executive anymore.

Which is also irrelevant. The subpoena wasn't for the deputy. It was for Chad Wolf.

Don't you think he should have been criminally prosecuted for contempt of Congress?

Sure it’s relevant, he couldn’t make it, offered his deputy

Has the SS director offered her deputy?

Was he even held in civil contempt by congress? Did they even make a referal over it? I am guessing not since he offered his deputy and the dems refused

Nope, not relevant. A subpoena to testify goes to a named person. That named person didn't show up.

There was nothing preventing him from showing up. He could have made it. He chose not to.

He should have been prosecuted, right?

According to him there was, hence why he offered his deputy

Has the SS director made any attempt to comply?

Nope? Will she?

I certainly think it’s relevant if someone makes an attempt to comply. Why don’t you?

Dead easy to find examples of Trump administration defying subpoenas.

On Wednesday, the Justice Department said a civil rights division official, John Gore, would defy a subpoena to testify on Thursday about its addition of a citizenship question to the census. This week, White House lawyers indicated that they would tell the former White House counsel Donald F. McGahn II and other former officials not to comply with subpoenas for their testimony, a person familiar with the legal strategy said.

They did it all the time.

Thanks I hadn't heard MyDorkAss was involved but that makes perfect sense.
