At least the admission of being wrong is made at all. Not every one has it in them to put such a thing out there.

This is the way all news media handle their mistakes. The NYT will print a full front page article on a topic with bold headline, pictures and interviews. When they find out it was false info they simply print a retraction on page 19 consisting of a one line explanation. I think this is journalism 101, right after how to use an anonymous source when you make stuff up. Fox is no better than any other media outlet.
