In the summer of 1985, Bernie Sanders--then Mayor of Burlington, VT, visited the country of Nicaragua. Upon returning, he held a press conference on July, 24, 1985. A 13-second clip from that press conference has become an internet meme (incorrectly cited as having occurred on August, 8 of that year). That press conference begins around the 6:30 mark. I would invite everyone to watch the full context of the remark about breadlines, before drawing reactionary conclusions:

He should be Italian, he talks with his hands. lol Lots of us don't have 48 minutes, what's the point?

Its for people who are interested, or concerned about this as something scary. Many of the latter have a seemingly endless amount of time to opine about such things, so it shouldn't inconvenience them in the least.

This is the left. They talk about all of the poverty that their ideology causes, but blame it on some invisible thing they call income inequality. It is simply a fact of life in 3rd world countries. The reason that dictators have the full support of their people is because of propaganda. The more they hold them down, the more they seem to worship their leaders. North Korea is a prime example. Democrats have learned that their greatest asset is propaganda through the media......and it doesn't matter how bad the economy becomes, they can talk their way out of it simply by claiming to be for the little guy. Who cares that more liberals are rich than conservatives. It's all image.
