Bad news for the "Kool-awks" that are fomenting a revolt.

Republican Support Slipping Away
Obama has not retained his initial level of job approval mainly because rank-and-file Republicans -- who already lagged well behind Democrats in their approval of Obama in January -- have quickly become even more critical.
According to weekly aggregates of Gallup Poll Daily tracking interviews, Obama has lost no support from Democrats and independents since taking office, but his approval rating from Republicans has dropped steadily week by week, from 41% at the start of his term to just 30% today.

Thanks for stating the obvious Rav. What would the board do without you?

Could you humor me and explain where I lose rationality to the point of only being "somewhat" rational?

How am I any more idealistic than you? You support government spending in massive amounts becuase you have a pre-conceived notion that government spending is stimulative. You support the stimulus bill because it's what a liberal would do. That makes you pretty idealistic.

You haven't once questioned the legitimacy of a spending initiative. You supported Bush's bank bailout, and you supported Obama's stimulus bill. All because the majority of pundits on TV said they were necessary to avoid a catastrophe. I on the other hand, questioned them all out of uncertainty about that much spending being viable, much less PRODUCTIVE.

So who's the non-objective person here?

Heh, I see I voted correctly on your poll.

I support government spending in massive amounts in very narrow circumstances. One being another country that is capable of harming us declaring war on the USA. Another being to avoid total economic collapse. Other than that am open to cutting spending for things that aren't needed.

Basically, if we can afford to make the country better we should. If we can't, we'll have to wait.

btw, I am pundit free...never watch them.

You're a Ron Paul supporter.

Why don't you just say I'm not a democrat and call it a day?
Because that wouldn't be true. I just tend to think very idealistic people aren't capable of being objective.

Ideologues eschew pragmatism, experience and common sense for their deeply held fantasies about how things would be so good if only.....

It's okay Paulie, socialists get it all the time :D

So to summarize: Obama was touted as being able to bring the nation together by garnering the support of many Republicans and we're now finding that's not the case. And the surprise is?

None. I just posted it because last week everyone made a big deal of his support dropping. There wasn't much hope Republicans would actually want to be bipartisan...especially after all the nonsense they've been spewing in the last month.

Because that wouldn't be true. I just tend to think very idealistic people aren't capable of being objective.

Do you think you are objective? Serious question.
Compared to you? Absolutely. In fact, compared to almost anyone. I can't help if you all project your thoughts onto mine.

I wasn't dissing you, was a serious question. Once again I'll remind you that projection of beliefs is something you've been doing to moi. In fact, I'm not what you think i am.
