Deep Root Analytics, a company working for the GOP that kept tabs on most registered voters (198 million, there are around 200 million in total), had this information on the internet on an unsecured server:
http://gizmodo.com/gop-data-firm-accidentally-leaks-personal-details-of-ne-1796211612

Data of almost 200 million voters leaked online by GOP analytics firm

There was indeed info on the voting trends of the voters (who they would probably vote for, as well as what party they were registered to).

There were alleged attempts to delete registered voters by hackers:
Russia hacked voting systems in 39 states before the 2016 presidential election
although it is not clear if they did.

On the other hand, I'm not sure how someone would react if they go vote, and they are not on the list. Who do they report it to? What if they hadn't voted for 8 or 12 years? Even if they voted 2 years before, would they report it to anyone?

Hate to break it to you but States freely have that personal info online spidered to search engines of registered voters, they just don't have the added analysis trends, but they do reveal if you are Dem or Rep which can create harassment, phone solicitation, predjudices in hiring, community services, or community association selective neglect.
