Republican state Sen. Randy Fine has prevailed in a special congressional election in Florida on Tuesday, NBC News projects, though the race is shaping up to be closer than November’s results in the deeply Republican district.

ALLAHASSEE, Florida — Jimmy Patronis, a mainstay in Tallahassee who rose to the statewide post of chief financial officer, is headed to Congress according to the Associated Press after voters in Matt Gaetz’s former district picked him to replace the firebrand.

The 52-year-old Republican defeated Democrat Gay Valimont in a special election held after Gaetz resigned late last year to mount a short-lived quest to become President Donald Trump’s attorney general.

:oops8:

Looks like the Trump mandate is working out. ;)

They must be OK with DOGE too.

Any District that would elect pedophile Matt Gaetz twice is not going to vote Democrat.

Wisconsin does not look good for Elon

The good news is, Democrats won the Supreme Court race in Wisconsin despite all the money the South African Vampire spent there.

Very interesting, given your side was funded by a billionaire too?

Surely we're not going to be a hypocrite here, are we Joe?

WTF is the matter with the people of Wisconsin?

Elon Musk wore a Cheese Head and threw around million dollar checks

What more can you expect from a Supreme Court Justice?

Wait. What?

I heard a BLUE TSUNAMI was coming because of some state race somewhere that a Dimwinger won. :auiqs.jpg:

This did not age well.....Or maybe it did as the results speak for a bleak future for the dems. ;)

I guess CNN's "expert" is about as dumb as the rest of the "experts" that the left trots out.

Why Florida House Race Is Crucial Sign for Democrats

The Democratic Party could be in good shape to retake control of the House in 2026, even if they don't win one of Tuesday's special elections in Florida, according to an expert.

Harry Enten, CNN's chief data analyst, said the Democratic candidate overperforming in Florida's 6th congressional district would "build the blocks" for the party to do well in the 2026 midterms.

Any positive results from Tuesday would not only give Democrats a much-needed boost but could also have implications for control of the House, where Republicans hold a narrow 218-213 majority.
