Faulting Trump’s Republican opponents as well as the press for failing to vet Donald Trump, David Brock claims to have the information they missed.

A nasty, personal campaign season is upon us, and now the key partner of Hillary Clinton says that Democrats can “knock Trump Tower down to the sub-basement” with opposition research that he has kept under wraps for months.

According to Brock, his American Bridge 21st Century PAC has built a database of “regular people — from unpaid vendors to harassed tenants to defrauded students at Trump University — who got screwed over for one reason only. They took Trump at his word.”

As reported by Politico, Brock seems to have thought out his communications approach for all remaining potential Republican nominees.

Brock asserted that, if Trump does win the GOP nomination “a bare-knuckles campaign is necessary” to brand him as a greedy. misogynistic racist, and “a danger to the Constitution, a menace to democracy, and a threat to the nation as a whole.”

American Bridge’s approach to attacking Cruz would be a more traditional “straight-up ideological battle,” against a politician who “isn’t much more than a regional candidate,” Brock told the donors. It would involve casting the Texas senator as an extremist “who wants to evict immigrant families, deny women access to health care, cut taxes for the rich and bomb the Middle East ‘until the sand glows.’”

Brock made the remarks last night at the spring meeting of Democracy Alliance, a gathering of big time liberal political donors.

Although headlines about Trump University and jokes about Trump Steaks have not winnowed support for the reality show candidate so far, it is not surprising if his GOP rivals missed something important. Reports emerged in February that none of the other Republican campaigns had even bothered to do any opposition research on Trump.

Their negligence has been matched by the mainstream media, which has granted Trump billions of dollars in free air timerather than commit acts of journalism. Why pay for investigative reporting when you can just reap the ratings by letting The Donald talk to your anchor on the phone?

A primary Clinton antagonist during the 1990s, Brock changed his political outlook and founded Media Matters For America, an organization which monitors mainstream news and opinion media for factual errors, biased coverage, and hate speech. Brock’s super-PAC, American Bridge, supports Hillary Clinton.

During the 2008 Democratic primary race, David Brock was critical of eventual winner Barack Obama. He has become controversial on the left again in this primary season for criticizing Bernie Sanders.

Agreed.

How about a candidate who ran as a Canadian citizen for Senator in TX and who was born in Alberta, Canada, and who only renounced his Canadian citizenship in May of 2014?

Does the homosexual, qu33r David Brock still believe in the "magic bullet" theory?

As much as I would love to see Trump get the blasting he deserves, anything from the minions at Media Matters is to be regarded as useful as used cat litter.
