Green Clean Renewable Solar Power's DEATH TOXINS!!!! POLLUTION!!!!

There is a huge amount of vested interest tied up in dissing renewable energy.

I think it shows that you can buy anything if you have the cash.
There is 36$ Trillion tied up, subsidizing Solar. So yes, you can buy anything if you have enough cash, Global Warming Scientists, University Research, Politicians, Foreign Governments

Meanwhile, plenty of other places make solar panels without pollution.

And that shoots down the stupid, stupid premise of this thread. Manufacturing isn't the problem. Lack of regulation in China is the problem.

And, being raging hypocrites, the people screaming here are from the same crowd who want to end most environmental regulation in the USA.
But from where are people going to be buying the cheapest solar panels?

You almost gotta laugh at the ignorance of the left wing warmers if it wasn't so tragic. The stuff in solar panels is so toxic that they make it in China. The expensive panels are shipped back to the U.S. and leftie warmers pretend they work while it takes a football field of panels to power a freaking middle class home. Don't forget the batteries. Batteries are made from the same toxic stuff that polluted the Detroit river. They still make them out of lead. What happens to gigantic solar car batteries when they go bad? They sit in some recycle lot and leach acid and lead into the environment. Meanwhile the PITA folks who care so much for animal rights fund giant billboards in recreational areas like the NC Outer Banks reminding fishermen that "fish have feelings" but they ignore the mutilated bodies of endangered migratory birds like eagles and hawks and owls which are cut down by wind turbines. No outrage on the left when Barry Hussein signed an executive order giving immunity to wind turbine companies for killing migratory birds.

Did I miss something ... or just misread? When did either solar or wind power become MANDATORY for US citizens?
California Governor Signs Ambitious Renewable Energy Bill Into Law

California Governor Signs Ambitious Renewable Energy Bill Into Law

Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill into law Wednesday that requires state-regulated utilities to get a whopping 50 percent of their electricity from renewable energy sources, such as wind, solar, and hydro, by 2030. The law also requires a 50 percent increase in energy efficiency in buildings by that year. The goals were previously laid out during Brown’s inaugural address.

“This is really a very significant occasion,” Brown said at the signing event Wednesday in Los Angeles. “California is taking the lead, there is no question about it.”

The state had previously set a mandate of procuring 33 percent renewable energy by 2020. The original bill, introduced by Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de León, is part of a larger suite of climate-related legislation introduced this year.

No Granny, you did not miss anything, your Social Security check is on the way, go back to knitting socks.

You didn't answer as to when the US Congress enacted a law making solar and wind power mandatory for all US citizens. Since you apparently can't give an answer, you just assume that I'm a worthless old geezer with nothing better to do to than knit socks?

Keep knitting your socks Granny, if you manage to get out in the world you may see what is happening around you, we have plenty of threads showing Wind and Solar being installed across this nation.

Your argument that Congress has not passed a single bill stating that Solar and Wind power is mandatory is irrelevant.

Money is being spent, on research, on building and installing, through government agencies.

“That bright blue ball rising over the moon’s surface, containing everything we hold dear – the laughter of children, a quiet sunrise, all the hopes and dreams of posterity – that’s what’s at stake. That’s what we’re fighting for. And if we remember that, I’m absolutely sure we’ll succeed.” - President Barack Obama, June 25, 2013

There are many solar panel manufactures in the US.

ENF Ltd.

And they do so without the pollution that China allows.
Well, lets name them all and follow the supply chain to see exactly where the materials come from, what they are made of, where the raw materials are mined and processed.

You do admit that your post means nothing being devoid of any information other than your opinion?

Old Crock, as you know you must LINK! Especially when all you have given us is OPINION.

Now I did, unlike you, give a link. If you desire, you can look up any of those companies on the net. But you will not. Because you are far too lazy to actually even do the most basic research.

You are not going to show the materials they use and where they come from? How they are produced? Where they are manufactured? Just cause they are assembled here in the USA does not mean much, does it?

I am too lazy to do basic research? A google search and a cut/paste is what Old Crock calls basic research?

Okay, I will do what Old Crock never does, and as in the past, watch how Old Crock proves I am right and that Old Crock is wrong. Old Crock claims the USA is Manufacturing Solar Panels without causing pollution.

Here is Old Crocks link: ENF Ltd., interesting, it says "Headquarters" in the USA? I will simply start with the first company, which Old Crock was too lazy to do.

US solar panel manufacturers. Crystalline solar panel manufacturers whose headquarters is in United States. 67 US solar panel manufacturers are listed below.

1st Sunergy Monocrystalline, Polycrystalline
3T & Associates Monocrystalline, Polycrystalline
AC Solar Technology Monocrystalline

The link from ENF, to Sunergy's about page, tells us that this company has a manufacturing facility in Nigeria, not the USA.

Old Crock is too lazy to read his links, proving himself WRONG!

About Us

Founded in 2011, First Sunergy, LLC ("1st Sunergy") is a solar and wind energy developer, consultancy, and distributor based in Houston, Texas. The company has assisted in the acquisition and restructuring of Helios Solar Works LLC and has on going large-scale solar module manufacturing facility projects in Nigeria.

From Old Crock's link, 2nd in the list, is a purchaser, not a manufacturer
Old Crock's link proves Old Crock wrong. Old Crock is a wealth of information, for me! Thanks Old Crock, again
3T & Associates, Inc.

3T Provides the Highest Quality Silicon Material purchased directly from Semiconductor Manufactures Worldwide. Our facility is set up to test, clean and sort silicon to your specific requirements.

Old Crock, just because you link a list does not make these Manufactures, in the 1st ten, none manufacture photocells, at best they assemble but most by products from overseas and resell them here.

Old Crock is quick to accuse others, of not doing research, Old Crock came up with an easy google search result and posted a link, a link that links to no manufacturing facility. At best parts assemblers.

Well, you got me on that one. Should have read where they got the panels they are selling.

Guess Who Are The Top 10 Solar Panel Makers In the World?

Solar equipment makers are gearing up to expand production again after many of them had to idle production lines or close factories. So who are the top 10 solar panel makers these days?

IHS released its ranking today that put Trina Solar as the top shipper of solar panels in 2014, followed by Yingli Green Energy. Both companies are based in China, which has dominated the solar equipment manufacturing business for many years now.

In fact, six of the 10 manufacturers ranked by IHS are Chinese (if you count Canadian Solar CSIQ +3.61% which, though based in Canada, has its manufacturing base in China). The two biggest American solar panel makers, First Solar FSLR -0.65% and SunPower SPWR +4.17%, also made the list.

The ranking reflected shipment figures, including estimates for the fourth quarter of this year. IHS noted that it didn’t count panels produced by these companies that are used internally for building solar power projects, from rooftop installations to big solar farms.

The "death toxin pollution" really comes into play when all these toys reach the end of their useful lives and become garbage. Not so much the initial manufacturing. For alas --- They last only about 20 years or so.

We use about the same amount of manufacturing and materials to make X-boxes and Tablets.

They are not manufactured here anymore -- because NOTHING that is a commodity item is manufactured here anymore. And UNLESS --- we innovate and start generating more IPOs that don't involve taxi service or social media -- nothing much is gonna change.
