Dinesh D?Souza enters guilty plea in straw donor case - Josh Gerstein - POLITICO.com

D’Souza’s case has become a cause celebre for conservative activists and lawmakers, who have complained that he was singled out by the Justice Department because of his views, including the apocalyptic film “2016: Obama’s America.” D’Souza also worked as a White House policy adviser under President Ronald Reagan.

“Dinesh D’Souza, who did a very big movie criticizing the president, is now being prosecuted by this Administration,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said in a portion of a January CBS interview edited out by the network but posted online by Cruz’s office. “Can you image the reaction if the Bush administration had went, gone and prosecuted Michael Moore and Alec Baldwin and Sean Penn?”

FYI:

D'Souza was the guy, back in 2001 who actually made the statement that he thought the 911 hijackers "did not act in a cowardly manner" on the Bill Maher show. -- Maher stupidly agreed with him. But it was D'Souza's statement.

Ok, what the 9/11 hijackers did was pure evil. But they died for their cause (as misguided as that is). So you can appropriately attach a lot of negatives, but cowardly? How does that apply?

D’Souza admits he broke the law? So what! He did it for a good reason. It is okay to manufacture bullshit and bribe politicians if you are the good guy. You can lie, cheat, steal and violate the law. Doesn't matter. The ends justify the means. We have to lie to discover the truth! Or something...

We have to be bad to win!
