Responsible, law abiding gun owners roll their eyes and shake their heads when they read about "gun control" measures proposed by politicians. Those measures are only aimed at the law abiding. Infringing the 2A rights of the law abiding.

How about try something that works. The Japanese imposed such a long sentence on anyone who used a gun in a crime that even the Yakuza stopped using firearms. In "urban" areas of this country, gang members are released and released again over their lifetimes of crime using guns.

This trend could stop in a year.

Put criminals who use guns away until they are too old to do harm or dead.

Bring back mental institutions. Correct the horrible problems that caused states to close them.

Incentivize putting fathers back in homes. In other words, stop paying young teenage girls to have babies expecting the government to pay/play daddy.
