The anti-miscegenation laws that the US Democratic party enacted and brutally enforced were later exported to Europe in the 1920's and '30s, leading to genocide. A notable difference is that the Democrats ascribed to the one drop rule, whearas the National Socialist German Workers' party (aka Nazis) policy was not quite as strict.

You could marry a girl as long as no more than 1 of her great-grandparents were of a race deemed inferior by the party. 1/8th. 0.125%.

Under the Democratic party's one drop rule, any trace of the wrong heritage was off-limits.
