Hegseth faces grilling in hearings today

I don’t know anything about you.

When Trump takes over, all the Republicans immediately start saying that the economy is great and all the Democrats immediately start saying the economy is terrible. Is that because their economic conditions rapidly changed?

(Excuse the hyperbole but you get what I’m saying)
Trump has no tools to instantly make this screwed up economy right. First it will improve once he clears the country of illegals. Second he says he will get fuel prices reduced. If he cuts by half, he will recharge the economy. Don't worry about Biden. China funds him.

He’s got plenty of tools to make a fragile but improving economy WAY worse and all his campaign rhetoric indicates he intends to do just that.

Eliminating illegal immigrants would be a disaster given they contribute meaningfully to the economy.

He has no plan to cut fuel prices and actually tried to increase them last time he was in office because American producers were losing tons of money due to low prices.

Tariffs are inflationary.

Our greatest hope is that he does as little as possible.

Fragile economy? You assholes spent four years telling us how great it is

So you fell in love with those who proved they refuse to follow law. Why don't you think legal migrants contribute? We want those. They proved they will not land in prison.

Doesn’t change the fact that illegal immigrants contribute to the economy and deporting them all will harm it.

Wrong on that. Trump never had a policy to increase fuel prices. American producers can cut prices merely by lowering their costs to deliver fuel. We saw how fast it happened under Biden that we hit over $5 per gallon for gas when I lived in CA.

I never said the economy is great, but it sure as hell is way better than you weirdos say it is.
The economy is a mix of incomes, costs, availability, plus other elements. Biden drove up costs, reduced availability and did not increase my income much. Matter of fact his final benefit to me was about $37.00 this January. Wait, that won't fill my fuel tank.

Yep. He sure did. That was the point of him going to OPEC and threatening them to get them to cut their production in 2019.

The cost of fuel is a minuscule contribution to the overall cost of products on your shelf. Even if their costs do go down, they have little incentive to reduce prices.

and yet before 2021 we did just fine, explain how we need the MILLIONS of illegals Biden let in.

Trump is just as responsible for inflation as Biden, given he signed trillions of spending that flowed directly into people’s pockets.

Somebody much more experienced than Hegseth, yes.

Your 'whataboutism' is nothing but a sucking sound from the know nothings.
no whataboutism about it .. the lefts SOD was a disaster .. did you hear ? Hamas just accepted a deal to release the hostages .. the vile rapist terrorists know a real COC is about to take office in 5 days ..

How could i possibly know the answer to your question?

I can’t speak to your individual experience, but I can speak to what the data says in aggregate.

If we have two people, and one’s prices doubled and one’s prices stayed the same, the aggregate inflation is 50%. That doesn’t mean one’s prices didn’t double. It means that didn’t happen for everyone.

Now, can you answer my question?
what an excuse...i asked you simple question about you not me....here lets try it again...... so if at the store your spending lets say 80 dollars more for the same stuff you bought a short while ago and you say how much more things cost but a govt agency says you are exaggerating the cost, because things are good.....are you going to believe them?..

I just checked the price of 18 chicken eggs. I came to Idaho when Trump was president. Eggs here were about $1.80 per 18 eggs. Today the price is
$8.89

Biden gets credit for bad things he does.

Actually Trump informed Saudi Arabia that Congress would harm Saudi Arabia.

WASHINGTON/LONDON/DUBAI (Reuters) - As the United States pressed Saudi Arabia to end its oil price war with Russia, President Donald Trump gave Saudi leaders an ultimatum.
In an April 2 phone call, Trump told Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman that unless the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) started cutting oil production, he would be powerless to stop lawmakers from passing legislation to withdraw U.S. troops from the kingdom, four sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.

I always laugh reading such reports. We are supposed to just take the word of a reporter. He won't even tell us who he learned it from. Sources is not proof it happened.

Also, it was 2020 during the pandemic that Trump was talking to Saudi Arabia about lowering production. Workers were not working into the millions.

No, we probably don’t have 30 million. It’s like 10-15 million.

The country needs labor. The economy depends on it.
Retard if we had 10 million on Jan 20 2o21 and Joe let in millions a year we have a lot more now and that is just the ones we counted.

For one, those allowed into the country pending amnesty determinations aren’t here illegally. Two, the number of people let in is way lower than you have been told.

None of this really matters to the point.

We had millions of illegals here during the Trump administration and things were “great”, so why do we need to deport them?
