Trump's Mass Deportations Will Increase Food Prices

If we need citizens to pick crops then wages will go up to attract workers. It is that simple.

Isn’t that the argument the right makes against raising the minimum wage?
When labor costs from MW or corporate tax increases go up, corporations are expected, no demanded to simply absorb the increased costs and NOT pass them on in the form of higher prices. Why, all of a sudden, are they not only expected to pass on the costs, but are not being criticized for doing so?

That is simple statement of fact. Food prices will go up as deportations go ahead. Slots will be hard to fill and wages will go up for workers in industry. Wage increases will be passed along to the American Consumer.
Work visa should take care of this.

The cheaper the Labor the worse the product. Higher Labor costs result in better productivity

Excellent, the weight of Americans will come down

20 million less mouths to feed will lower food prices.

The reduction in crime will lower all prices (including food).

And there are still butt-loads of LEGAL immigrants to pick strawberries.

Florida Republicans are panicking and urging illegals not to leave the state. There are not enough people so a lot of crops will rot because there is no one to pick them.

Do we need anyone picking crops?
