The history book goes to great lengths to paint Islam in a good light. Leave out the brutal murders committed during countless terrorist attacks and talk about how happy people are to become Muslims. Is this yet another instance of us giving in to demands from Muslims regarding what is taught in our schools? Why is it that we are bending over and giving in to so many things they want? I don't think they should have any special privileges and we definitely don't need a re-written history on Muslims being fed to our children. It is an archaic religion that hasn't changed in centuries. To teach it as a benevolent religion is wrong considering the mistreatment of women in Islam and the slaughter of innocents over the years.
The Muslims in many countries are also asking that any mention of the Holocaust be removed from all text books. I'm sure they would like to replace it with writings that sell Islam as the answer.

For instance, the book's teachings on the battle of Medina contain the passage:
"...people happily accepted Islam as their way of life." Starnes believes the book "glosses over" the fact that tens of thousands were massacred as Mohammed's army took over Medina
