Hobgoblin was a nefarious menace from 'Cartoon-Land,' and he wanted to challenge the intellectual dominion of the fictional A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) fantasy-adventure franchise Transformers (Hasbro) warrior first-knight evil robot Cyclonus. Hobgoblin represented 'standard fascism/terrorism' (launching pumpkin-bombs at major bridges), but Cyclonus symbolized pure 'vanity' (kidnapping U.S. First Lady Melania Trump and threatening to drug her to death).
A political cartoonist exploring the 'mystical underworld' on the parallax-view of the mirror-universe described by Escher and Carroll imagined that an 'anti-hero' such as Hobgoblin could 'exist' in a parallel-reality and even 'challenge' the spiritual 'presence' of the vanity-oriented evil warrior-robot Cyclonus, a member of the 'Decepticon Army' bent on planetary domination and galactic fascism. The cartoonist's name was Thomas Nast and aside from his 'regular mainstream press drawings,' he kept 'secret' collections of 'other-world' fantasy-being avatar model characterizations of Hobgoblin (Marvel Comics) and Cyclonus (Transformers).
An idealistic photojournalist for the Daily Bugle named Peter Parker decided to post various pictures of street-culture fashions and urban mass-marketed art and if there was any modern pedestrian American interest in Hobgoblin or Cyclonus. Parker discovered, to his amazement, that imaginings of Hobgoblin and Cyclonus, polar opposite 'non-heroes' (in standard definitions from any context), raised up fantastic holograms of the Devil (Satan) himself! Parker concluded that Hobgoblin and Cyclonus would have to be 'valiantly normalized' by the shrewd political cartoonist Thomas Nast, but Nast died before ever publishing his 'secret collection.' Years later, U.S. President Donald Trump would note how mass pedestrian 'art' (low-brow Internet blogs/doodles) had become 'fertile' to the notion of anti-capitalism lingo!
