(Reuters) - In the most significant legislative rebuke to President Barack Obama's healthcare overhaul, 39 members of his Democratic Party voted for a Republican bill in the House of Representatives on Friday aimed at undermining his signature domestic policy.

The measure, which would allow insurance companies to renew and sell inexpensive, limited-coverage policies that have been canceled because they don't meet the standards of the new healthcare law that took effect on October 1, passed 261-157.

The 39 Democrats who supported the bill - nearly one-fifth of the party's caucus - reflected the alarm that spread within Obama's party this week over the political damage from the botched rollout of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

Well finally the Democrats do something for the people instead of just walking LOCKSTEP with the Dear Leader

Obama is a horrible man and President.... He sees this is hurting people so what do he do, gives a speech saying (He will ALLOW the insurance companies renew your existing policies for ONE YEAR..He's just too kind to us...
He thugs, bullies, ALLOWS the government and our memorials, parks, etc be shut down and it's way or the highway on Congress and us people in the country..

Jimmy Carter can rest comfortable now, Obama is the worst President, eva

Why would this be surprising?

39 Democrats voted against final passage of the Affordable Care Act in March 2010.

39 Democrats voted to defund Obamacare when the pubs shut the govt down last month.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

The Website is working better and more people are enrolling.

Obama also kicked back the "cancellation" thing to the insurance company.

If they didn't know Obama was going to veto anything coming from the GOP House, they would not have voted for it. This gives them cover at the polls and Obama is taking responsibility for what everyone is pissed about. The rollout.

It isn't as if ACA is going anywhere. It's just strategy, that's all. Don't get too excited about this guys.

The latest on Obamacare enrollment

(CNN) -- Here is CNN's latest reporting on how many Americans have enrolled in Obamacare through the federally run website and through state-run programs, and who have signed up for expanded Medicaid coverage:
HealthCare.gov (36 states)

White House officials revealed Wednesday that 106,185 Americans signed up for health insurance through Obamacare in the program's first month of operation.
Fewer than 27,000 Americans selected an insurance plan through the federal HealthCare.gov site, which is handling enrollment for 36 states.

In addition to sign-ups, nearly 975,500 people have submitted health insurance applications and learned whether they are eligible for Obamacare subsidies. Those people, however, have not yet selected a plan.

Yes. He has to veto it, it's really the GOP who are using ACA as a political football. The only thing that will keep any of them in office by 2014 is the Gerrymandering. The House has certainly not done anything at all this entire year except work with big insurance and against the ACA.

Lazy and useless assholes just sitting around collecting paychecks.
