That pretty much disproves all the fear mongering the right has been throwing around as of late.

It's NOT an open door policy, there are hoops that must be jumped through. BTW, I wonder if they notice that on the top one, they are screened by 3 agencies, one of which is Homeland Security.

3rd one though is people at the border. Once they prove they're Syrian and have a credible fear of being persecuted (as everyone at the border will know) they can get in. Come though Canada or Mexico and you bypass US vetting.

No you don't, you still have to be interviewed, and if anything looks even a little bit off, they WILL run you through the various agencies (DHS, INTERPOL, etc.) to see if you've been on any watch lists.
