tying up a person who is most likely mentally ill and chanting prayers and throwing holy water on them while shouting at 'the devil' until they accept Jesus as their god is sadistic psychological torture.

Yep. The scary thing is that there are sane-appearing people among us who actually believe that "some people have demons in them" and that those "demons" should be "cast out". For some (see above), its just a cover for being ignorant, low life, racist scum their god is ashamed of.

If this was done without the charade of religion and without the trappings of the magic jewelry, fancy robes, magic water, they'd be hauled off to the funny farm along with their poor victim.

What is insane is to imagine the enemy is an invisible disembodied entity.

What is a demon if not a low life who seeks to control and possess other people by means of deception, intimidation, ignorance, fear and the power of death consequent to defying the Laws of God that they are endlessly trying to trick people into doing?

In this light the exorcists are the demons.

How does one free a person possessed by a demon who taught them to defy the laws of God and worship a human being as a matter of religious devotion when that defiance places them under the condemnation of God and into a state of death if not by confronting the visible demon who visibly fucked up their mind and casting out the vile and degrading beliefs and practices of that demon that turned them into mindless zombies??

The Sword of the Spirit, being the mighty word of God himself, reflects Genesis to Revelation and without revelation knowledge from God, Holy Spirit inspired- most men fail to see the truth. God is faith.. the word is God, God is the word.. In Genesis God said, "Let there be light," - he spoke the word in to being. FAITH- The word became the world and all its creation.. The power of life and death is in the tongue , James says.. when one truly exposes themselves to the unadulterated word of God and challenges all of their own assumptions, the truth can be found..
