A new analysis of monthly Census Bureau data by the Center for Immigration Studies shows that the nation's immigrant population (legal and illegal) hit a record high of 42.1 million in the second quarter of this year — an increase of 1.7 million since the same quarter of 2014. Growth in the immigrant population in the last year was led by a 740,000 increase in the number of Mexican immigrants.

I rode a train with a young man and his toddler who were going into another country to get mom from work, just as we would go from one suburb to another.

Not all are like this but what the rabid right doesn't know is that Mexicans and Americans freely go to and from to shop, eat, get medical care and work. Drive around the parking lot of any Costco in Tucson and you'll see a lot of license plates from Mexico.

By the way, on a serious note this is a disgraceful number, 42 million, wow. The border is wide open, executive amnesty has been put in place and a million people pour in every year legally alone. The nation needs to not only secure the border and deport illegals, but put together a tighter legal immigration policy that protects American workers and preserves the American culture.
