Reminds me of a story I heardabout Eric Gates.....in the dressing room during half time Bobby Robson laid into Gatesy for taking no fucking notice of him screaming at him to get further up the pitch...."didn't you hear me Lad?I almost bust me fuckin' lungs shoutin' at ye".
Gates replied "yes I heard you gaffer, but you were shouting at fucking Giggsy, I'm Gatesy".Eric Gates told that story, it had me in stitches.

LOL...he was a great little player Gates. Thought he was better than Mariner who I always thought was a bit of a show pony...
