The news media is letting it happen because they get more viewers when the race is close.

I look at Real clear politics and Vegas odds, they both seem to leaning Trump, that said I think Harris wins the popular votes because of how liberal states California and New York are and the Electoral College will go to Trump but I am not sure who wins, my life will change little either way.
