The “casino capitalist” nature of the stock market will not be changed by either party, but it sure can be better understood by the public, which tends to follow the latest fads, for example investing in corrupt and “pumped up” “crypto” stocks. The increasing popularity — among normal working and middle-class people — of the stock market as a place to “make a killing” … is actually part of the “problems” of U.S. society.

Neither the 2008-9 housing / “great financial crisis” under Bush, nor the Dot-Com stock collapse in 2000-2002, nor even the Great Depression … had any fundamental connection to the presidential party in power.

Only children and political partisans see the world this way.
