The mayor of Las Vegas is ready to reopen the city and put everybody back to work so they can earn a paycheck. The unions apparently don't want to work and have even been critical of the mayor who is trying to let them earn a paycheck again.

Why am I not surprised at your position.

All this sitting around and no people when you do go out has gotten kinda cozy. Unintended consequence might be lots of people are slow to get restarted.

The casino owners don't want to re-open either. The casino owners say that people's health and safety is more important than money. Imagine that. American business owners saying people are more important than money.

Casino owners said that when you have cards, and chips, and everybody is touching everything and passing chips and cards around, it's just not safe to open the casinos.

That's interesting, you think the casino owners just want to get out of the business? That's the gambling business, passing around the dice, chips, money, cards, they always have germs on them. Even if the COVID 19 germ is somehow purged from the planet, there are cold germs, flu germs, all sorts of other germs around and always will be.

Las Vegas needs visitors, and they need to reopen quickly. Mayor Goodman is spot on. Its a tourist town, the citizens mostly work in the hotels, restaurants and casinos. If they don't reopen, the workers will leave town too.

A Las Vegas cop was on the radio explaining. The massive taxes paid by the casinos support the city. Without those casinos the city dies starting with city cops. Faced with losing the police and fire departments the mayor had no choice.

The casino owners want to permanently close the casinos.... Really? Who said that? No one that's who. It's a complete lie and an unbelievable one at that.

Not sure why they would not be ready to go back to work. As of yesterday there were only 3,314 cases in Las Vegas with 163 dead since March 16, when they only had 35 cases. So with cases only going up a little over 3000% in in a month, what's to worry about? Besides, they have such a sensible Mayor. When asked how the casinos, and restaurants could distance in that type of environment, she said she has not idea, she's not a casino owner, that's for them to figure out.

An indefinite lockdown will mean people will leave town. Is there a sanitary way of running a casino and maintaining social distancing that I'm missing?

Very true. The mayor isn't running the casinos. They are.

Window dressing. Put the dealers and cocktail waitresses in masks, gowns and gloves. How do you think Disneyland will reopen? Universal Studio? Democrats are batshit crazy. All they can think about is destroying the country so they can build their communist utopia.

Nothing like a devoted mayor looking out for the people that elected her, eh?
