Lazy Union Members In Vegas Don't Want to Work

In a recent Pew Research Center poll, 66% of Americans were more worried that restrictions would be lifted too soon compared to the 32% who said not soon enough.

Quinnipiac University poll taken this month found that 81% of voters favored a national stay-at-home order.

the protest crowds who want to go back to work have generally been quite small.

I wonder if this really is a good political move for repubs but in a few months it may start moving towards ready to go back to work.

The mayor of Las Vegas is ready to reopen the city and put everybody back to work so they can earn a paycheck. The unions apparently don't want to work and have even been critical of the mayor who is trying to let them earn a paycheck again.

Not sure why they would not be ready to go back to work. As of yesterday there were only 3,314 cases in Las Vegas with 163 dead since March 16, when they only had 35 cases. So with cases only going up a little over 3000% in in a month, what's to worry about? Besides, they have such a sensible Mayor. When asked how the casinos, and restaurants could distance in that type of environment, she said she has not idea, she's not a casino owner, that's for them to figure out.

Hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world fingering slot machines and playing cards?
Mayor Maybelline may be on to something.
What could possibly go wrong? :cuckoo:

The Mayor of Las Vegas is a fucking idiot -

Las Vegas needs visitors, and they need to reopen quickly. Mayor Goodman is spot on. Its a tourist town, the citizens mostly work in the hotels, restaurants and casinos. If they don't reopen, the workers will leave town too.
Las Vegas is a shithole. It could die and it would be ok by me. Just my opinion after living and working there for a very short time.

In a few months there won't be a country.

Maybe this is what immigration has brought us. A population that won't work.

The casino owners don't want to re-open either. The casino owners say that people's health and safety is more important than money. Imagine that. American business owners saying people are more important than money.

Casino owners said that when you have cards, and chips, and everybody is touching everything and passing chips and cards around, it's just not safe to open the casinos.
They are facing issues over that now for any reopen of table games. The chips were at times gross and cards handled by all-Thats going to be gone

Cards aren't exactly handled by all. New decks are unwrapped every new game.

There is an easy way to resolve this. If the casino owners no longer want to own casinos and casino workers no longer want to work, let the mob have it all back. They built Las Vegas. They will figure it out.

Window dressing. Put the dealers and cocktail waitresses in masks, gowns and gloves. How do you think Disneyland will reopen? Universal Studio? Democrats are batshit crazy. All they can think about is destroying the country so they can build their communist utopia.
As long as the cocktail waitresses still show some cleavage the customers will be happy.

Maybe people are scared of dying or having huge medical bills because Trump tells them that they should go back to work but continues to throw money at them.

then again its more problematic if they are all demos or a mixture of demos and repubs

Quote one saying he doesn't want to reopen. Otherwise, shut the fuck up.

Must vote Democrat. Rather be on welfare.
They are

the government is offering workers more money to stay home than go to work

The mayor of Las Vegas seems like a brilliantly smart genius person of high moral character and super-duper morals and ethics. Trump should put her in charge of something.

Obviously she wants to move her community in the right direction. Trump can hire her when he removes Fauci from the payroll.

That's interesting, you think the casino owners just want to get out of the business? That's the gambling business, passing around the dice, chips, money, cards, they always have germs on them. Even if the COVID 19 germ is somehow purged from the planet, there are cold germs, flu germs, all sorts of other germs around and always will be.

They'll cower in fear now over all germs. Its amazing. Theyre very weak mentally, ruled by emotion and no logic.

Most of those people want to work, but more importantly, they want to take advantage of enhanced U.E. benefits, which is an extra $600 a week, and for most of them, that's more money than they make hourly. I read where they would have to make $24 an hour in order to make more money than the enhanced U.E. benefits are paying. Most of these people are not making that kind of money. These people are not stupid.

What a great opportunity to kill off the fucking unions and make Nevada a right to work state.

Sure. I don't condemn any individual whatsoever for going for the money. When I was young fellow, the guys I knew that lost their job in the steel mills not only got unemployment checks, they got "Trade Readjustment" checks as well as Supplemental Unemployment checks from the employer. But that is not a good situation, as a nation we need to get back to work and productivity and that's the problem. Further, the city government in Vegas and the state of Nevada,as well as the business owners are all screwed royally by the Lockdown.

shouldnt you post a link to back that up???

I thought you libs wanted the local politicians to make the call on when to open things up.
There are more leaders that look out for the economy, than want it to totally crash. To make Trump look bad, they are gonna get their asses handed to them. Once again.
