Liberals block erection of monument to war heroes

Doncha hate those erection blockers.

I had a friend who did that all the time.

Hated that guy

They were anti-America rebel traitors.
Washington,. Franklin, Madison and Jefferson were also traitors.

Going to tear their statues down?

Or can someone be both a traitor and a hero?

"Well that's different!!!!1" in 3...2...1...

Yes, they were all traitors to England. Do the English go around and put up monuments to them all over the place?

If the British had won the war...would those men have been any less brave, selfless or heroic?

Would you have torn down their statues erected by their men and followers here in this country ?

Nope they would not have.

The Japanese that attacked us were brave, selfless and heroic...should we put up monuments to them?

Do other countries put up monuments to brave, selfless and heroic enemies that attacked them?

Do you imagine there are memorials to them in the cities and towns where the men under their command served?

Should we, after we occupied Japan, demand those memorials and statues be torn down?

Sounds like a pretty shitty thing to do.

Why would we erect monuments to traitors and enemies of the country?

Should we erect a monument to Tojo or Yamamoto?
Does that mean you advocate removing the Little Big Horn park? After all those dirty savages massacred all of those fine upstanding US cavalrymen on US soil. They must have been traitors too.

There would be no statue. The English were known for hanging traitors, not putting up monuments to them.
NOT THE ENGLISH. You personally.

Would YOU tear down a statue of George Washington?

Had the British won, would you 175 years later, tear down a statue memorializing George Washington?

They weren't Americans. Like it or not, confederates were Americans and the Civil War IS a part of US history.

I am sure they, as they should be.

Do you think that Japan has monuments Chester Nimitz?

Should we, after we occupied Japan, demand those memorials and statues be torn down?

Some how I am betting none were built during that short time we occupied the country.

Can you name any other country that has monuments built to members of enemy armies?

They weren't traitors, they were given their citizenship back and welcomed to return to the Union.
Only the mullet brigade of the Cracker South still thinks that.
They were traitors and then pardoned. They were forbidden from holding office. They were hardly welcomed.
