Always room for that...but the French government knew about these guys....and it didn't seem to help....

We have trained our police to go in immediately to these mass shooter situations...of course, a terrorist attack is a little different, they will be better armed, have a little more actual training and may attack in a team........

Our police will have to learn to take that into account...they still have to get in their as soon as possible...but they may have to have rifles in every car...and I think most cops already do......

Machine guns? Like BMG .50 cal, Maxim or something? You are just adding to the confusion since most libs have no idea what the difference is between a machine gun and an automatic rifle. Be precise with your description.

Unlike with 9/11 Bush hid out and no one knew where he was, along with flying the families of Suddam out of America out, even though they shut down the airways.

It's pretty amazing reading these reports that these terrorists were already known as being radicalized, yet nothing was done to jail them or deport them.

Paris police are already well-trained and well-armed, and just what they could have done to stop this is very hard to say. Against trained and suicidal men, I wouldn't be placing bets on the side of sanity.

They have trained but need more wide spread education of reading people, faces, body language and voice to detect possible suspect to engage and ask questions of as the Israelis do.

They need to widen their surveillance of internet and phones. Road blocks periodically to just check cars and paperwork and to watch the reactions of drivers should be part of that as well. Not at borders but set up in and around france as a whole.

France is bombing Raqqa but why did it take the dead or injury of 600 people to do this? Rules of engagement when dealing with terrorists needs to be more flexible. They can't be confined to rules of war when terrorism is not a normal war by any stretch of the imagination. ISIS is not a recognized country in the UN and deserves no curtesy of protection by rules of war.

These are not armies lined up in some field fighting each other. These are urban fighters with no uniform that can blend in and hide with civilians when they want or need. A band can be removed and hidden in a pocket and they just become part of the population. These are not people that care about rules or honor or respect. They don't treat prisoners as protected but butcher them in the streets on video for the world to see. That is how they should be treated and killed.

Take the hand cuffs off and lets get ride of this disease by any mean and with all the tool we can think of.
