The Forrestal fire is studied and gone over everytime we have firefighting classes....shows what happens with a chain of stupid mistakes lead to disaster...the biggest being the piling up of ordnance on deck to say time during load out and failing to make the voltage checks correctly on a load out.Bullshit. Prove it.I was a naval officer and trained in shipboard firefighting.
How would you like me to do that? I have been on this forum for many years and have repeatedly demonstrated that I know the topic.
One of the major problems in the Forrestal fire was that untrained crews were using fire hoses to fight the fires and were washing the AFFF foam off the decks, which was what was actually the way to put out those fuel fires.
tell dumb butt sj a rocket on an F4 went off due to electronic issues and hit one of two planes sitting beside each other - 1 being McCains - they arent exactly sure.
