The pro-government city of Madaya never faced a food blockade. Instead, food became rare and prices rose.
Food prices on December 17 according to a resident:
1 Pound of sugar: $34
1 Pound of rice: $34
1 Pound of flour: $47
1 Pound of powdered milk: $52
The occupying terrorist group, the Al-Qaeda affiliate Ahrar ash-Sham, does not respond to residents´ questions why they have food but not the residents. As suggested, the terrorists are unable to provide food and use the situation to create new anti-government propaganda in the West.
