Majority of Gazans Have Lost Family Members in War, Still Support Oct 7: Poll

I'm sure that psychologists have a catchy name for it, but Gaza represents a situation where the people have a wretched existence, and they are constantly told that their wretched existence is caused by Group X.

Logic plays no part in it. A rational person, even if propagandized for many years, will look at what has been discovered about Hamas' spending, and say, WTF? Those billions could have been spent to improve our lives.

But they don't. They continue to believe that if it weren't for the IDF, their lives would be blissful.

As pundit Douglas Murray has pointed out, if Hamas were not corrupt and diabolical, Gaza could have been converted to another Singapore. They have beaches, wonderful climate, a young population, etc. There is no good reason why it has not taken that path.
Most Gazans are refugees from the west bank and east Jerusalem and 70% are children.

Gaza is suicidal and greedy Arab imperialism.

Does this help you sleep at night as thousands of defenseless women and children are slaughtered by your beloved Israel?

This post deserves further condemnation.

Thinking Gaza could’ve been like Singapore is ludicrous and indicates a total lack of understanding. It was an outdoor prison. Your beloved Israel controlled everything that went in and out, including limiting food to keep the people close to starvation. Gazans were subjected to constant surveillance and harassment, to say nothing of periodic massacres and imprisonment.

Your post is akin to a complaining about the people of the Warsaw ghetto or blacks under slavery failing to succeed, because they resorted to arms.

Another example of the goal of Hamas propaganda is causing brain damage?

Don't expect to extort sympathy from people you try to kill, for death
of children celebrated by their own parent's mass degeneracy.

All thanks to your kind.

Didn’t the Nazis blame the Jews for everything to justify murdering and enslaving them? Yeah…just like you do to the Palestinians.

After eight months of a grinding, bloody war in Gaza, two-thirds of Palestinians across both the Gaza Strip and West Bank support Hamas' October 7 attacks on Israel, according to a new opinion survey by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR), a think tank based in Ramallah that is one of the few organizations doing on-the-ground polling of Gazans.

The poll found that 67% of Palestinian respondents overall supported Hamas's decision to attack Israel that day, a massacre that killed some 1,200 people and shocked the world in its barbarism. Broken down by territory, support in the West Bank was higher, at 73%, compared to support within Gaza, at 57%.

---------------------------

PCPSR's latest survey is striking. More than 60% of Gazans reported that they lost a family member in the current war, but even more said they supported what happened on Oct. 7, which led to Israel's invasion. Eight in 10 respondents said they believed the attacks brought global attention to the Palestinian cause.

The poll highlighted a significant shift in the region's fraught political dynamics, with increased support for armed struggle and a sharp decline in backing for the two-state solution.

There was an increase in support for Hamas itself, as well, with 40% of respondents favoring the group over other political factions — a six-point increase from the previous poll. In contrast, support for Fatah, led by Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank, stood at just 20%.

More than 60% of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with Abbas and his approach to the conflict, and supported the dissolution of the Palestinian Authority (PA) that governs the West Bank. Demand for Abbas's resignation has risen sharply, with 94% of West Bank Palestinians and 83% of Gazans calling for him to go.

Absolutely nothing the Biden administration has said addresses the popular sentiments of the Palestinian population or the realities of their political situation.

Which poll exactly? when was it conducted? I found this but it was carried out in late Nov 2023, over eight months ago.

Why did Egypt do that to their brother Muslims?
They must know something you don't.

Gaza is suicidal and greedy Arab imperialism.
OH look, we see signs of Arab imperialism in those areas where lots of Arabs have lived for thousands of years, how dare they! Next thing you know, we'll see European imperialism spreading all over Europe - horrors!

I see, and? what's your opinion about the survey results then?
It should be obvious even to you. The so called Palestinians in both Gaza and the West Bank overwhelmingly support war with Israel until Israel is destroyed, so either they will destroy Israel - not going to happen - or Israel must maintain security control over the territories for the foreseeable future.

Egypt prevents their brothers in Gaza from freely traveling into Egypt.
You've got it wrong again. Israel forced people into Gaza, if they hadn't done that everything would have been fine. If you are so dim that you think everyone woke up one day in Gaza and said "Hey, here's an idea why don't we all go to Egypt and live there!" then you stupider than your posts suggest and they suggest a pretty high level of stupidity.
Why would they do that?
Because that's what Israel wanted to do and still does, ethnically cleanse non-Jews from the Levant. I already explained this to you, they want everything, even more territory than they currently illegally occupy, Egypt refuses to participate in ethnic cleansing - dingbat.

Oh and by the way, math is hard only for republicunts, they struggle with counting votes.
