A victory for medical excuse Marijuana.
Little by little pro-Legalization interests are moving forward, because there is no legitimately supportive reason to maintain this fallacious and wholly unnecessary prohibition, but the ignorant and the corrupt anti-Legalization interests are holding on by their teeth and fingertips.

You know, Israel has done a lot of research into the benefits of medical marijuana, and they have found out it helps with Alzheimer's, PTSD, AIDS, seizures, cancer, and pain management.

Face it folks, you've been sold a racist lie since 1939, when Anslinger wanted an easy way to lock up the black and brown folks (who happened to be the main consumers of marijuana), he picked that plant as a way to do it.

Main reason the marijuana laws are so Draconian.

And guess what? Some of the funding that the researchers in Israel used came from US tax dollars. If the research says it's beneficial, it should be moved from Schedule I to Schedule III, which would make medical marijuana legal for the entire USA.

Face it folks...........legalization is coming, and it can't happen soon enough.

Even junkie Jerry Brown says that a society of stoners will fail.

Really? Like CO has "failed"? CO has a huge tax revenue from it, as well as has seen opiate addiction and overdoses drop by over 25 percent since they legalized it.

And.............lots of the people I've seen in the 420 shops in CO have all been intelligent, reasonable and happy people. Many of the people that were in there were senior citizens who were there to get something to help with their arthritis pain.

If so-called "medical" marijuana is on the endangered list and needs to be propped up by some old pot head judge it really ain't cause for celebration and it still don't look good for the industry.

it should at least be decriminalized at the federal level and taken off schedule 1...

Medical cannabis isn't on the endangered list. However, with all the research that has gone on over the past few years showing the benefits, it should be legal for doctors to prescribe.

And..............the more research shows the benefits, the more people are going to be in favor of legalizing it.

its on the endangered list?....since 94 when California legalized med pot how many states have followed suite?...how many have it on the ballet for nov?....whats the attitude today compared to 40 years ago?...

No doubt about it, Marijuana should be the primary treatment for AIDS. Nothing else, just pot.

According to Jack Herer in his well researched book, The Emperor Wears No Clothes, Anslinger wasn't motivated by racism but by political pressure from William Randolph Hearst, the newspaper tycoon, who had purchased an enormous tract of pine tree forest in Northern Maine for the purpose of producing newsprint paper. Shortly after that purchase a process was developed which was able to reduce hemp easily and without the use of harsh chemicals produced superior paper.

The process is called decortication and it reduced the value of Hearst's pine forest purchase to nearly zero. So Hearst engineered the creation of the federal anti-drug police, had Anslinger put in charge, he initiated the Reefer Madness propaganda campaign and the war on hemp (and cannabis) began.

While the racism aspect wasn't Anslinger's motivation it existed in the spirit of the dominant White society because marijuana smoking at that time was restricted largely to Black and Mexican minorities. For that reason any Whites who smoked it were thus stigmatized. That stigma, combined with the progression of government-supported Reefer Madness lies has managed to maintain marijuana prohibition for generations.

It was paper! That's new. It used to be fabric.

The hemp used to make paper, cloth and rope is a strain of marijuana with no THC. Grow away. The new BMW in is partly made of hemp but you can't really smoke it.

I let potheads die. I see them on the street. Sometimes the zombies ask for money. Not a chance. The only person with a realistic drug program is Rodrigo Duterte.

I let potheads die.
Presuming that by "pothead" you mean someone who uses an excessive amount of marijuana and is thereby comparable to the drunk who uses an excessive amount of beverage alcohol, or the obese individual who uses an excessive amount of calories, you must be very patient. Because nowhere in the annals of medical science is there is any record of anyone ever having died from using or over-using marijuana.

I see them on the street.
You see what on the street? "Potheads?" If you mean people who appear stupified from substance abuse, how do you know what substance has caused their condition? Are you intimately acquainted with all the stupified persons you see on the street?

Sometimes the zombies ask for money. Not a chance.

So what?

The only person with a realistic drug program is Rodrigo Duterte.
Duterte is the worst kind of political opportunist and you certainly wouldn't want to live under his rule. Do you actually believe anything good can come from his sadistic, authoritarian savagery? While he might succeed in eliminating drug use in the Philippines the ultimate effects of his cure will be far worse than the sickness. He eventually will transform the Philippines into something of an Orwellian nightmare.
