Conservatives think the government should mind its own business until they want it to dictate what people can and can't do in their own bedrooms.

Michigan Senate Passes Bill that Makes Anal Sex Punishable By 15 Years in Prison - Frontiers Media

The Michigan Senate has doubled down on its unconstitutional ban on anal sex by passing a new bill that updates the wording of the ban. Despite the Supreme Court rendering anti-sodomy laws unconstitutional in 2003, Michigan is one of more than a dozen states that still has a sodomy ban on the books. It also has one of the worst – not only does it ban anal and oral sex for gay couples, it also bans the acts between straight partners, and even equates them to bestiality.

A new package of bills designed to keep pets out of the hands of animal abusers includes an update to the text of the ban, but leaves the restriction on consensual sex between humans intact. Republican Senator Rick Jones’ SB 219 updates the ban to read: “A person who commits the abominable and detestable crime against nature either with mankind or with any animal is guilty of a felony.” It’s that “with mankind,” that’s with issue, and technically leaves straight and gay couples practicing anal and oral sex at risk of a prison sentence of up to 15 years – or even up to life if the offender is a “sexually delinquent person.”

Leave it to the bible toting morons in the conservative party to focus on what really matters in America.....LOLOLOLOLO. News Flash: the author of this bill, will come out of the closet soon.

anal sex punishable by 15 years prison???
really?
whats next, I know, lets make it illegal to be overweight, the punishment can be forcing them to work as a taste tester at duncan donuts.
WTF would you punish somebody by sending them somewhere that they are going to get exactly what it is you are punishing them for enjoying in the first place?

What I find interesting is (a) people just believe the hyperbole and (b) don't read the actual law and (c) if they don't jump in under "a" and do perform "b" don't understand what they are reading.

http://www.legislature.mi.gov/documents/2015-2016/billengrossed/Senate/pdf/2015-SEBS-0219.pdf

From the bill itself:

"A bill to amend 1931 PA 328, entitled "The Michigan penal code," by amending sections 49, 50, 50b, and 158 (MCL 750.49, 750.50, 750.50b, and 750.158), section 49 as amended by 2006 PA 129, section 50 as amended by 2007 PA 152, and section 50b as amended by 2008 PA 339."

In other words this was a preexisting law and not a new law.

Secondly, from the bill itself:
  • In the bill "strike-through" is used to show deleted text. I'll use underlining below
  • In the bill "bold" i used to show additional text.
"23 Sec. 158. (1) Any A person who shall commit COMMITS the
24 abominable and detestable crime against nature either with mankind
25 or with any animal shall be IS guilty of a felony , punishable by
26 imprisonment in the state prison FOR not more than 15 years, or if
27 such person THE DEFENDANT was A SEXUALLY DELINQUENT PERSON at the
1 time of the said offense, a sexually delinquent person, may be A
2 FELONY punishable by imprisonment in the state prison for an
3 indeterminate term, the minimum of which shall be 1 day and the
4 maximum of which shall be life."

Now look at the bill text above, notice the "with mankind" text is neither underlined (strike-through) or bolded. That means it was neither added or deleted text - it was already there and invalidated by the Lawrence case.

The story got misrepresented, by accident or design, hard to say and spread around the net. The bill's author wasn't out to change the state's sex laws, all he wanted to do was add animals to it for their protection. His bill didn't change anything for humans. The sodomy law was already in there and ruled unconstitutional so it was a non issue.

Michigan senator: Sodomy 'hoax' surrounding animal protection bills | WZZM13.com
ANSING, Mich. (WZZM) -- A Michigan senator says a hoax circulating on social media has distorted his bill meant to protect animals.

State Sen. Rick Jones, R-Grand Ledge proposes legislation that would ban anyone convicted of torturing an animal or engaging in bestiality from owning an animal for five years. Non-profit shelters also would have free access to Michigan's criminal history database.

However, several websites have reported that his legislation would make it illegal for adults in Michigan to engage in anal sex.

Jones tells WZZM 13 that a blogger in Texas distorted the bill (PDF) to make it sound like it applies to people. That information was then circulated around social media. He adds that sodomy is already illegal under current Michigan law and that his bill simply added specific language meant to protect animals.

Jones says his legislation does not change current law as far as sodomy between people.

The Supreme Court in 2003, however, ruled that Michigan's law banning sodomy between consenting adults is unconstitutional. The reason current law still includes the word "mankind" in reference to sodomy is to protect children from abusers, Jones said.

Jones' effort began on behalf of animal advocates who were pushing for Logan's Law, he said. Logan was a husky that was tortured with acid and killed.

The legislation has passed the senate and has now moved onto the house.

The opponents of this law want to torture and rape animals and children. It's plain that this is what they are after. They should be under 24/7 surveillance.

WHAT THE F***
There is nothing wrong with some good anal sex. These regressive fools need to try it sometime.
Did you approve Obamacare? If so, then you surely know that the State has a vested interest in your health. Therefore, the State has given itself power to regulate your unhealthy sex life. AIDS is transmitted throughanal sex.

Don't like it? Think this is an abuse of power? Don't forget we warned all you jackasses. Suck it up....oops, you can't anymore.

Government to ban heavy petting or overly elaborate and or prolonged foreplay....Prolonged Foreplay is the Devils Playground. !!!!!!!!!!
