Ex-Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood President Mohamed Morsi Sentenced To Life In Prison…

An Egyptian court has sentenced former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi to life in prison while simultaneously passing down death sentences for six co-conspirators.

Those who followed the 2011 Islamic uprising in Egypt saw the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton support the Muslim Brotherhood and their candidate Mohamed Morsi.

Yeah boy. Obastard supported this butcher right along with Clinton. He's a great president!

Morsi is the rightful democratic elected president of Egypt.

He was ousted by an illegal military coup and replaced by a western backed puppet dictator. .....

You got that backwards.

No, he really doesn't.

The Egyptian Military ignored the will of the Egyptian people.

And when al-Sisi is unable to turn the country around, people are going to overthrow him.

He's a butcher that deserves to be put down.

You tell me liberal.

Not a liberal and I asked a question. Who did Morsi actually kill?

We can't go around telling countries how wonderful Democracy is and then support military coups when they vote for things we don't like. It kind of defeats the purpose.

Not gonna fall into your trap. You can't figure it out,too bad.

Egyptian court confirms 20-year prison sentence on Morsi
23 Oct.`16 - The sentence was for a conviction arising from the killings of protesters during demonstrations in 2012.
An Egyptian court confirmed a 20-year prison sentence against former president Mohamed Morsi on Saturday, judicial sources told Reuters. The sentence was for a conviction arising from the killings of protesters during demonstrations in 2012. It is the first of Morsi's four convictions to reach the end of the judicial process, and he cannot appeal further against it.

Twenty-year jail sentences were also confirmed against other senior figures from the then-ruling Muslim Brotherhood, including Mohamed el-Beltagy and Essam el-Erian. The men were convicted in April 2015 on charges including kidnapping, torture and the killings of protesters during unrest in 2012.

Egypt’s ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi stands behind the bars during his trial in Cairo on 16 June, 2015. An Egyptian court upheld a death sentence against Morsi for plotting jailbreaks and attacks on police during the 2011 uprising after sentencing him to life in prison on charges of spying the same day.

The Muslim Brotherhood denies responsibility and says that most of those killed were from its own ranks. Morsi has been sentenced in three other cases, including a death penalty for a mass jail break of Muslim Brotherhood prisoners during the 2011 uprising against longtime president Hosni Mubarak and a life sentence for spying on behalf of the Palestinian group Hamas.

The Islamist Morsi became Egypt's first freely elected president in June 2012. An army takeover stripped Morsi of power in 2013 following mass protests against his rule. Hundreds of Islamists have since been killed and thousands arrested.
