The Telegraph, one of the UKs most widely read newspapers, recently began what it termed a new law competition. Readers entered proposals for bills that they would like to see introduced in the House of Commons, the British equivalent of the House of Representatives, and these proposals were voted on by the wider readership.
The results are overwhelming.
Over 85% of respondents said that they would like to see a repeal of the ban on hand guns and the re-opening of shooting clubs. Out of the 17,133 votes cast, as of the publication of this article, 14,610 have been in favor of repealing the handgun ban. Flat tax came in second with a mere 1,218 votes.
