New rule: Rape, slavery are okay IF you are Muslim

For Muslims, rape is not wrong. No consent needed. And, according to this "expert", Muslims are benevolent slave owners and it's not wrong to own another person. Neither rape or slavery are immoral, according to this guy. His lecture was nothing but a very strange and illogical defense of Muslim culture.



"During a recent lecture at the International Institute of Islamic Thought, Brown told his audience that men do not necessarily need consent to have sex with a woman, and that slavery is not in and of itself wrong.
In a lecture that spanned about an hour and twenty minutes, Dr. Brown condemned the practices of slavery in the West (and China), while attempting to argue that slavery in the Muslim world has been far kinder and gentler (which is completely untrue). Dr. Brown also argued that slavery had become “racialized” in the West but was non-racial in the Muslim world, another blatant lie. Lastly, Brown argued that forced labor in the West was abusive but that no such practice ever occurred in the Muslim world (this is another easily disproved lie – see here, here, and here).

Umar Lee is a freelance writer (and a Muslim) who happened to be attending the lecture and was shocked and dismayed at what he heard Dr. Brown teaching.

“Indeed, according to Brown, slaves in the Muslim world lived a pretty good life. I thought the Muslim community was done with this dishonest North Korean style of propaganda. Obviously not…

Brown constructs a world where the wrongs of the West excuse any wrongs (if he believes there are any) in the Muslim World.”

However, Brown went even lower to defend both slavery and rape. He argued that neither slavery nor non-consensual sex (we in the West call this rape) are necessarily immoral.

“It’s not immoral for one human to own another human,” Brown stated in his clearest defense of slavery. Brown went onto state that being an employee is basically the same as being a slave…

And on the question of rape:

“Consent isn’t necessary for lawful sex,” said Professor Jonathan Brown of Georgetown University… Brown emphatically stated consent is a modern Western concept and only recently had come to be seen as necessary (perhaps around the time feminism began to take root and women decided they wanted autonomy over their bodies). Brown went on to elaborate consent wasn’t necessary to moral and ethical sex…

Lee concludes his post on the lecture by reminding his readers that if a Catholic, or a Protestant, or a Jew had made these same comments in the same context, they would immediately be attacked by academia and the liberal media. He argued that any non-Muslim University employee who would make a similar defense of slavery or rape would immediately be fired from their position and likely not find work in academia ever again. Sadly, when a Muslim professor does it… no one even bats an eye.

It’s a damning condemnation of the state of our culture, but I don’t expect Dr. Brown to be condemned or fired by Georgetown anytime soon."

It's not about what is legal here, though the law is followed pretty selectively by the left.

It's about what gets criticized or not. Liberals support bringing in muslims and don't seem to care that we are inviting those who believe women can be abused. And the left refuses to acknowledge that it is a real problem. The professor merely echoed the feeling many have, which is that muslims abuse women and own slaves because that is their culture, and he tried to explain why it's a good thing. It's just an excuse for some to continue ignoring the abuse that runs rampant among Muslims. The left pretends it's not there so they don't have to deal with it. Meanwhile, every country that has taken in lots of Muslims is dealing with that crap. The muslims don't stick to abusing their own women, they extend their radical laws to all women.

The left seems to find it reasonable to expect women in some countries to be forced to adapt and change the way they live to suit muslims. Many women in France, Germany and GB have been told to avoid areas where muslim men congregate to reduce chances of being harassed, sexually abused, raped, beaten or killed. All those have happened simply because muslim men believe they have that right to do as they please to any woman. And the muslims go into all public areas to harass women, making it impossible to avoid potential abuse if they leave their homes. And they believe they can punish non-muslim women for not adhering to sharia. That is the point of their sharia-controlled areas. They think they can randomly establish their own "borders" and change the laws at will. They do not recognize our laws or Bill of Rights. Many women have been assaulted, beaten, raped and even murdered for dressing improperly or otherwise not following their laws. A pregnant woman in Great Britain was murdered for walking too close to a mosque. Many have been called sluts and beaten because they were wearing clothing that muslims found offensive. Why should women in host countries be forced to change their behavior and routine just because some assholes don't believe women have the right to make their own choices? And why are so many liberals ignoring the plight of women and children in muslim areas?

When countries have to offer classes in an effort to teach refugees that women and children are not property, you know you're in trouble. You can't reverse brainwashing by offering voluntary classes. And you can't teach inbred and brainwashed males that women do not exist for their pleasure and convenience. You just can't undo an entire upbringing of radical teachings.

So, the left doesn't think extreme vetting, which actually would be more like appropriate vetting, for the refugees. Right now, they might as well have a free pass because we have nothing in place to filter the terrorists and braindead misogynists out. We rely on governments to help approve people and they are often the same governments plotting to place terrorists on our soil.

Muslim countries need to step up. We do not need this culture seeded across our country. Since when do we aid any religion in spreading and multiplying? U.N. officials already admitted that most of these refugees are not running from danger and they wish to be seeded all over the world to improve their lives. And how do Muslims believe their lives will be improved? By having Islam rule the world. Fuck that.

Seems the only thing that was being enforced was when police were shot otherwise the secular laws were ignored.

The reality is that many don't follow our laws. When they are taught their entire lives that men own women, laws don't magically change their mindsets.

I think it's suicide to allow anyone following sharia law to migrate here. If they get into political office, like the ones who are proving to be radical in Dearborn, we might as well shred the constitution and Bill of Rights. Too many Muslim countries allow rape, honor killings, slavery, child molestation, and genital mutilation. Why on earth would we want anyone who supports any of that to be in a position of power and law making here in the states? Some Muslim television shows discuss the proper way to beat wives, so as not to injure them too badly but still teach them a lesson about obeying their husbands. This isn't ISIS training, it's mainstream in many Muslim countries.

Plus, the child was kidnapped and that likely tipped the scales. Nice to know they draw the line somewhere. If the guy had married the child, they would celebrate him raping her.

The whole point is that both slavery and rape are being defended in Muslim countries. The western condemnation of slavery and rape as immoral amuses them. Of course, they support it in the context of what is appropriate for Muslim cultures. They seem to think that the way they rape women or own other people is acceptable. Women and children have little value to them other than sex objects or slaves.

Leave it to some libs to avoid commenting on the insanity of the professor's claims that owning people and raping people are not necessarily bad things. We are importing this attitude whether libs choose to face the truth or not.
