This is quite banable by the Nitwit Felons League but they dont do it because leftards that run the NFL like the message.

ARTICLE 8. PERSONAL MESSAGES. Throughout the period on game-day that a player is visible to the stadium and television audience (including in pregame warm-ups, in the bench area, and during postgame interviews in the locker room or on the field), players are prohibited from wearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages either in writing or illustration, unless such message has been approved in advance by the League office.....

ARTICLE 9. GENERAL APPEARANCE. Consistent with the equipment and uniform rules, players must otherwise present a professional and appropriate appearance while before the public on game-day. Among the types of activity that are prohibited are use of tobacco products (smokeless included) while in the bench area and use of facial makeup.
Penalties: a) For violation of this Section 4 discovered during pregame warm-ups or at other times prior to the game, player will be advised to make appropriate correction; if the violation is not corrected, player will not be permitted to enter the game.
b) For violation of this Section 4 that is discovered while player is in the game, and which involves the competitive or player safety aspects of the game (e.g., illegal kicking toe of shoe, an adhesive or slippery substance, failure to wear mandatory equipment), player will be removed from the game until he has complied.
c) For any other violation of this Section 4 (e.g., wristbands that are not League-approved, towel with a personal message, impermissible headwear under the helmet) that is discovered while the player is in the game, player will be advised to make appropriate correction at the next change of possession; if the violation is not corrected, player will not be permitted to enter the game.
d) For violation of this Section 4 detected in the bench area: Player and head coach will be asked to remove the objectionable item, properly equip the player, or otherwise correct the violation. The involved player or players will not be permitted to enter the game until the player has complied.
e) For illegal entry or return of a player suspended under this Section 4: Loss of five yards from succeeding spot and removal until properly equipped after one down

Does the NFL Require Players to Stand for the National Anthem?

Here's what the game operations manual says regarding the national anthem, according to an NFL spokesperson:

The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.

During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.

So the NFL has grounds to fine these asstards, but simply chooses not to.

Well something needs to be done soon.

Just look at what they are planning for the next national anthem.

What is odd is that they took away the excessive celebrating in the end zone and are far more strict with penalties, but, you want to disrespect the anthem and the flag, "hey go ahead man, it's free speech." Where was this "free speech" mantra when a man brings some entertainment to the game (though some celebrations were becoming stupid and excessive I agree")?

But obviously the Nitwit Felons League approved the message or else it would not be tolerated to kneel during the national anthem.

Exactly how does that rule fit with wearing no personal message clothing and simply kneeling on one knee?
Because kneeling on one knee is still a otherwise conveying personal message.

C4A, it does not help your cause to pretend to be unable to read plain text.

I say it's good that their disrespect is shown to the nation.

More people will boycott their goods. How many I have no idea.

It also is good to let voters know which loon fringe not to vote for.

The rule is about WEARING something that conveys a message...... sure, a technicality....but one the players would win on....otherwise Colin K would have been booted, the first day.

No, it plainly states "players are prohibited from wearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages either in writing or illustration".

That is not merely the wearing of items, but also covers everything from commercial products, to 9-11 cleats to fancy towels to raising a Nazi salute.

All the other forms of personal expression are covered under the phrase "otherwise conveying".

In writing or illustration, illustration would be something like a US Flag with an x over it....

The entire rule is about their attire appearance..... with some minor tweaks, it could cover gestures as well but as it stands, gestures are not mentioned...
The devil is in the details....

Like waving to your mom that you spotted in the crowd, and the player makes a fist and then puts it on his heart and then points at his mom, to convey the player loves his mom.....

That is a GESTURE conveying a personal message.....And NOT breaking the rules, as they are written.
