This is a modernism-generations democracy-fable inspired by the song My Generation by The Who.

A new superhero emerged in modern-day America, and he went by the vigilante alias 'Nightwing.' Nightwing was actually the GCPD rookie-cop Robin Blake who worked closely with Bruce Wayne (CEO of Wayne Industries) and his investigations into the crimes perpetrated by the Legion of Doom and how those crimes deformed America's sense of civics and science. Robin/Nightwing knew Wayne was actually the masked American vigilante Batman who tackled the Legion of Doom with the help of his 'superhero-friends' known as the Justice League (comprised of Green Lantern, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Hawkgirl and others). The Legion of Doom was comprised of 'super-villains' such as Riddler, Lex Luthor, Poison Ivy, Toyman, Captain Cold, and Ursa. Nightwing took it upon himself to retire the Legion of Doom and Justice League to a community for democracy daydreamers, so the next generation could take up the reins!
The Justice League and the Legion of Doom were entangled in various levels of governance-related civics-intrigue (and turbulence!) throughout their history. They were involved in the apocalyptic head-to-head battle in Syria on Labor Day Weekend 2010, the security of the Trump Administration during the explosion of consumerism in the new millennium, and the treatment of the biochemical weapons anathema known as Leviathan, a secret military-government fiasco conducted by the Security Council of the United Nations (which ultimately Batman had to deal with personally, much to his chagrin and personal detriment!). The Justice League and Legion of Doom were now to retire peacefully and quietly on a remote island off Thailand where they would spend their days playing checkers and chess and ruminating peacefully and using their handy-dandy smartphones to Twitter about the value of capitalism-defense in the age of Nightwing!
In other words, Nightwing was the 'favored son' of the crusader-world. Nightwing started his 'rule' by ridding Tijuana, Mexico once and for all of the devastating influence of the corrupt and nefarious narcotics-ring empire known as 'Black Mask.' Nightwing then secured commercial peace relations between North Korea and South Korea by managing a Samsung-related trade-council between America and Asia. Nightwing also dealt with the modern problem of mass virus-algorithm generation by homegrown and foreign terrorists threatening the security and stability of the new global cyber-network known as 'SkyNet.' Nightwing was a real smart fellow, and his strategic-thinking matched his field bravado and courage. Nightwing even personally dealt with the nefarious menace known as 'Bane' (a steroids-pumped super-terrorist threatening the sanctity of elementary schools across Gotham and New York City). Bane would kidnap children and threaten to inject them with steroids, so Nightwing drowned him in the Hudson River to appease his 'publicised daydream' about a suicide-fiasco. Nightwing was a true friend of capitalism!
Batman and Wonder Woman decided Nightwing was the obvious 'heir' to their princely-dominion of democracy-defense and capitalism-crusade. Nightwing was declared the undisputed 'Guardian of the Globe,' and the Justice League members and Legion of Doom agents made peace with each other and lived happily on their secluded island-paradise which they named Edernel (a spin on 'eternal'), knowing confidently that Nightwing would deal with all of the emerging problems/issues of the newly-changing world. Nightwing's current project involved the stabilization (commercially and politically) of NASDAQ. Nightwing wanted America to assert its dominance by spearheading an international security council designed to ensure the proper and reliable functioning of NASDAQ (rain-or-shine!). Batman and Wonder Woman got married and arranged for Nightwing to start dating a beautiful young woman named Shelbye Starbright (whom they hoped would convince Nightwing someday to settle-down and seek a life of peace and sanity, just as they had done!). President Trump humorously remarked, "Nightwing has shown us that even vigilantism is ornamented across generations, which is a terrific defense for democracy and commerce!"
