I would say that this is a good start, but unfortunately, this does not seem to be precedent setting

hope springs eternal though...

Nine asylum-seekers, including four children, barely made it across the Canadian border on Friday as a U.S. border patrol officer tried to stop them and a Reuters photographer captured the scene.

As a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officer seized their passports and questioned a man in the front passenger seat of a taxi that had pulled up to the border in Champlain, New York, four adults and four young children fled the cab and ran to Royal Canadian Mounted Police on the other side.

One by one they scrambled across the snowy gully separating the two countries. RCMP officers watching from the other side helped them up, lifting the younger children and asking a woman, who leaned on her fellow passenger as she walked, if she needed medical care.

I find it sad that there are people FLEEING the U.S. in fear. But I agree with Billy (for once) that it was quite the coincidental photo op.

Fine.

Interesting that there "just happened" to be a Reuters photog there.
Justin said he'll be happy to take all the illegals from Latin America President Trump doesn't want.
I hope a million of them end up being housed and fed, given clothes, medical, dental, cell phones, bus passes, cable and big screens.
The totally illiterate 'young men' can gather by the dozens on Canada's city street corners and harass shoppers going to The Bay.
Maybe Justin will invite a few dozen families to set up camp in his six car garage.

thank god for trump finally standing up to starving children
/--- Why did Obama allow children to starve for 8 years or are you saying they were well fed until Trump was sworn in? Well which is it, Punk?

i wonder if they were confused when the agents kept saying "Aye" every 7 words
Um, I think it's "Hey." Very soft "h."

You are both wrong! It's "Eh?" after every sentence.

Know what I mean, eh?
so does the word "Eh" show up a lot on the application to move to Canada?

Why would anyone ever apply to move to Canada? It's like Minnesota with worse weather and annoying socialists!

I have met and talked to numerous members of the Canadian military. Many of them say they dream of the day when they can move to the US to get away from all the liberals.

OP article confirmed what I heard earlier this week that per agreement Canada must return these folks to America if they show up at a border crossing. With the harsh winter conditions the Canadians have been proactive in helping these refugees.

This is great news. Hopefully word will spread quickly that Canada is willing to begin the degradation of their country....AWESOME!

A million?
I hope 12-20 million leave here for the north. Imagining Southern California without trash and Bud Light cans lining the streets, dirty diapers on beaches, old mattresses laying in vacant lots and abandoned pit bulls running the streets excites me big time!

If they are not Americans, the Canadians need to be sent back to where they came from!

well when they finally get settled into Canada, they will find out what a Moose Cheeseburger tastes like,
